But what you (and the axis of intelligence - el duque, EA) simply can't seem to comprehend is the long term damage that EVERY single one of these incidents is causing. Making excuses and being an apologist does nothing good for the game in the long run

I love vague statements like these.

"Long term damage" "nothing good for the game in the long run" ...

... You don't even know what you're talking about yourself, do you Moffo?

So what you're saying is these incidents are going to hurt us down the track (somehow, eventually, maybe next decade, next century, next millennium? Same time as the financial news?).

Can you give us an example of how this is going to effect the game in the long-term?

Is it going to cause something terrible like the higher crowd attendances and higher ratings we've been experiencing the past few years? :(

You are a rare breed of stupid Moffo. You must be one of the only people that hasn't caught on yet. These incidents are something we'd rather see less of, yes, I doubt you'd find anyone disagreeing with that notion.

However you are one of the only few who are yet to realise that these incidents are quickly forgotten and that the game moves on stronger than it ever was before.

If beaussie was right, then YOU were wrong too. But you're never wrong huh?

By the way, I never 'ran' from TFC. I was banned from LU for a very long time after a running battle with some over zealous mods - LU's biggest issue.

You lasted one sentence before mentioning union and afl

You just don't get it

There is simply not much point in discussing the topic with you willow. It doesn't interest me that you've lost your rags in the above post and thrown petty insults

I'm not suggesting that league won't go on. But what you (and the axis of intelligence - el duque, EA) simply can't seem to comprehend is the long term damage that EVERY single one of these incidents is causing. Making excuses and being an apologist does nothing good for the game in the long run

Look, it all revolves around you, for some reason, believing that there is a simple solution to the problem. There isn't. If there is a solution, simple or otherwise, nobody has come close to finding it have they?

The game is just over 100 years old in this country and the people that play it at the highest level have being doing stupid things all throughout the game's history here.

What would you have the NRL do Moffo?

Deregister immediatey every player who has an "incident"?

Great plan. Of course that would leave the NRL open to extremely damaging action from people like Brett Stewart. The headline "NRL crucifes innocent player" would be a good look.

Ramp up teaching the players about how damaging their actions can be?

They know. They've always known.

What you seem to be suggesting is that there is a way to stop young men from doing stupid things, mainly when they're on the piss.

Sorry to break the news mate, it's not possible. It's not possible to stop individuals doing something stupid in a tea-totalling Christian Youth group outing, let alone in Football. All that can be done is to ensure that they are held responsible for their actions, which they most definately are.

The game will survive and thrive as it has always done before. The salient point is that the game survived the most damaging incident in the history of the game and 13 years later is thriving. A big of dogfoolery is a mere pin-prick in comparsion.

Monaghan jumped before he was pushed. He was going either way. You have your pound of flesh, time for you to shut the f**k up.

Lu's biggest issue?

lmao

I'm wrong often, but not when it comes to you and I was never bested by beaussie. Actually, there's only one TFC posted who was ever beaten to a pulp by the star of Golden Girls, and that was you.

He/She pummeled you. You were beaten so badly that you couldn't wait to get yourself banned, which you did. You should be a Union fan.

Now, wake up to yourself or I'll unleash the main thing that makes you cry into your Cornflakes...

Are you on your rags willow? Come back to me when you can construct a sentence without insults in it. Try not to put words in my mouth either. Thanks

All about the juniors. There are squillions of parents out there today looking at this and saying, I don't want my kids to grow up in an environment where all these misdemeanors happen on a regular basis. Does your myopia prevent you from looking beyond the immediate term?

And EA, I want to mandate further education for rl players. I would be happy with a setup similar to American college sports

How so? I want willow to have a conversation without the torrents of abuse. It hurts

Many a truth said in jest.

We all know you crave legitimacy Moffo, we understand. But you have form, and not very good form for someone desirous of being taken seriously. We understand that you crave to be considered the sage of the Rugby League community.

Being serious now, I'll ask one simple question, what would you do to stop this problem? Apart from putting the players in stocks?

It's easy to bitch and moan about it, what would you do in Gallop's shoes?

Well, you've certainly lost the plot.

Do you understand the problems the NFL have had with individual players over the years?

You follow the NFL don't you?

How could you not know at least something about the NFL's rap sheet?

Willie Clarke, the Michael Vick incident, Ray Lewis, the list goes on and on and on and on...

Compared to NFL players, NRL players are choirboys. Higher education works a treat there....

Yeah, like that wouldn't take months to do the NFL's.

Make it fair, you're defending the NFL so you do theirs. I'll do the NRL, you do the NFL.

It'll be easy, type "NFL murder" into google.

If you find 1, you lose.

Go on, I dare ya.....

Cretin.
