Where I think this will really be felt is the sport's ability to attract new junior players. There are just so many choices for kids these days and mums and dads who aren't die hard leagues supporters will be less likely to let little johnny play.

I'm on the committee for my son's club here in Canberra and we are just bracing for the fallout. When you look at the off field discretions of Raiders over the last few years it is just a bad look.
