I'm still amazed that we are still looking at him after what he did, just think if he was in our side and pulled that stunt after not being in finals for many years, we would all want his head on a platter, not to mention he is still professing his innocence. Oh well Flanno knows best, I stand to be corrected and I hope I am.
Well we signed Val Holmes, seems most people have forgotten what he did.

Coaches/clubs are in a very difficult position, I am sure most would like to have a definate no dickhead policy & have nothing to do with players for unacceptable behaviour & most of the "mature" members of this forum would definitely share that view as I do. BUT if coaches/clubs have that policy it would restrict their ability to build a successful side significantly. Another club will always come along & pick up that "rogue" if they have ability & hope they can change their attitude & make them a better person & player. Bennett has been doing that for years & has been very successful at it. Flanno has a small window to bring success to the club or he will end up like Kevie Walters, we all saw how the number of good players available at the right price reduced when the Dolphins came in & it will continue to happen with 2 new teams coming in. Im not saying it is right but its reality IMO.

Fonua-Blake.
The situation is as you describe and the only way to resolve it is to leave it to the NRL to rub players out or not. Otherwise, individual clubs that try to hold standards will get undermined every time. No one likes it, but there it is.

Gus will only say go to the Dragons because we have got salary cap space and it frees more dollars at the Dogs.
Think there will be a few more hoops to jump through as usual to get the JAC deal over the line with the Dragons.
I reckon we might be the only possible NRL club he could land at (at a price the dogs would be happy with)? I'm sure others would take him as more of a backup.. but most have decent quality wingers already.

But Flanno plays hardball, and so does Gus.. so there is no deal over the line there at all until its done.. and we still need Rava gone somehow.. another winger on our books who I dont think Flanno will ever play in 1st grade again.

Agree with everything you say justa.

Saying that, have no idea what goes on and there has only been a handful of players that have had their papers stamped and it's Flanno's job is to win and to deal with the issue.

Two big props are our priority 1, then a fullback. Then we swap Hunt for a good halfback.,

It would be great to have JAC however, I am sure we can promote a young winger to this position.
