I'd like to see Wagon Play centre early in the season. Just to improve our defencive line. We already have one weak defencive centre, having 2 is going to be a disaster.

If Smithy really wanted Josh Davis he would give him the extra money and get him. I believe we have gone cold on Davis because Smith has too much faith in Graham, Burt and O'Dwyer to fill the other centre position.

If it was up to me I would put Mateo in the centres to partner Tahu. However we all know that one of the 3 stooges listed above will get the nod.

There are a lot of young kids who are not only capable but want to play.

It's starting to annoy me though that the nucleus of a Wellington side in the NRL is starting to be lost.

Greedy? In NZ they are reporting that he just wants what the other reserve grade players at Parra get. Do you expect a NZer to play for lower pay?

He may be unproven in the NRL (simply because he's never had an opportunity), but he has made the Junior Kiwis which is not a bad achievement.

Happy to keep him anyway. Also hope we keep Leuluai.

i think Josh Davis could really (and will Really) be something special from ALL of the reports of his play in both the Bartercard Comp in NZ and for the Junior Kiwi's against Australia......

and now, 3 seconds after half the people here were naming him in their sides for 2005......its now like, "oh stuff him if he doesn't wan't to play for pride in our jumper".....oh boo hoo

talk about negative and selfish and it sounds like he just wanted what our other reserve graders are getting???? big deal???

At 17 is he a reserve grader? I am disappointed too as he looks a good player from all accounts however plenty have been standouts in the junior grades and done nothing. ;-)

He might be another superstar in the making but if he wants to be paid a motza without even proving himself he canstay in NZ. I read last week in the paper there was some kid willing to give a money back guarentee deal if he didnt play well. Thats what we need.
