My thoughts: the minimum speed limit in all areas bar school zones should be 60, 50 is ridiculous.

I guess their theory is then people will do 70 to stretch the limit but I know what your saying

It is real simple logice.
At 60kmh and you are forced to brake you have a reasonable chance of stopping your vehicle and minimising any damage or injury to another vehicle or person.
At 105kmh you have little chance of braking and NOT damaging or hurting a nearby vehicle or person...I have seen it at 100kmh and they cannot brake in time.
Dugan is young and stupid I hope they scare some sense into him!

The other day I drove down the F3 to visit my parents and I saw at least 4 police cars hidden on the side of the road. Thats like a police officer every >30kms ffs.

And there are a few fixed speed cameras as well.

why do the canberra police follow people and make up speeds instead of just raygunning them like the rest of the civilised world.

the onus should be on the police to prove people are speeding not the other way around.
