I just want to know how a majority of forumers could see Hodgson was a dud signing when it was first announced but the people who do the recruitment as their job could not see it.

They were pissed at losing Mahoney and expected the worst from Hodgson despite a solid 2021. Then six minutes into his first game of 2022 he did a season ending injury. They pretended they saw it coming, because every 32 year old gets long term injuries every year.

You are right.

nobody actually saw it or called it - people just made crazy comments they didn’t mean….how could they know if the coach and management didn’t know, because the coach and management are always right!

it wasn’t just forumers who knew this, it was experts, former players, media and it was an overwhelming majority opinion.

Almost no one liked thus signing except people determined to justify the coach at all costs - and one bloke who has spent decades trolling parra fans.

This is the best example of the lunacy of saying the coach is beyond the question or criticism of “mere fans”…

Even after his injury last year the club should have gone out to market and tried to sign another hooker..

I dont think the club had much faith in Rien/Hands/Yates.

They have since gone and signed Meni Luke from St Marys Cup/RM side.

Questions must be asked on our Recruitment but they wont.

You just don't listen.

BEFORE the injury in March 22, most knew it was a rubbish signing.

He had failed to return from his previous ACL and before that he had been on the way out at Canberra.

Its why the Raiders did not block the exit.
He returned from his previous injury just fine. 2021 was a good year for him. And Canberra didn’t block the exit likely because his relationship with the coach broke down, as it did with the other two Poms. They had plenty of issues behind the scenes that year, but Hodgson’s form was good.

Meni Luke is a level above Rein and Yates. Thats why he is the starting 9.

Wasn't he coming from the bench for the Raiders in 2021? I dont think it was 2019 good.

Thats my point though why has it taken until what round 5 or 6 to find a replacement when we could all see Yates and Rein were no good.
Hands was there for the opening rounds. Rein was good enough for reserve grade. Wonder what his status is now.
Getting paid but not playing?

When you go shopping there's always a chance you buy something that is out of date.

I thought you nobly hated rumours and gossip?

or is that just when it suits?
