The stats reflect what happened during the game, without your flawed memory and all your biases clouding it.
Yeah... nah. Stats are stats, good for dumbed down aggregate summarising or hypothetical surmising only.

Watching what happened play by play, moment by moment gives anyone/everyone the direct experience of what happened with the relevant context.

Or does it just reinforce their confirmation bias? The thing you're expecting to see is a deceptive passenger, and it is easy to fall into the trap of regarding it as 'relevant context'.

Yeah... but nah. It's just a footy game, goes for 80mins, and what people see and comment about is their take on what happened.

Stats are something else, merely a different lens. And not one that should be used (selectively) in a strange contrary quest to constantly attempt to discount certain (equally valid) opinions.
