Gee some of the users' hate on Matai has reached unbelievable extremes. He was unlucky to get put on report at all. It was a great tackle, as was his shot on Sam in the next set.

Match review panel yes, but his point stands. Stewart and Matai got off lightly IMO. Matai I can understand because it comes up off the ball. Stewart is VERY lucky.

But last year they said it is where the tackle ends - in this case on the jaw - is what is considered in their judgment. This from the Inglis-Young tackle where the defence was he got him on the chest first.
