Judiciary Charges 2019

i thought it should have garnered a grade 1 charge, but also felt it was boarderline in terms of penalty sufficient.
So I dont have have a huge problem with Ponga not being charged in a vacuum, the trouble is we'll see something similar attract a charge within 2-3 weeks

the inconsistency is really astounding.
The NRL are renowned for shielding their favourites from responsibility for their own actions. Jake T case in point. I admirer Jake as a footballer but dangerous throws are called that for a reason. Never under any circumstances should a dangerous throw attract zero weeks.

LoL.

Imagine being that deranged by a questionable suspension.

God mate if you were a Manly fan you would have been committed to an institution when Steve Matai was playing.

I dont think Cotric is particularly grubby. Or Kikau for that matter. But Jake is regarded as a kind of anti grub and it gets pumped by the media how much of a nice bloke & clean skin he is.

Like Cotric.

Cleanskin, doesn't drink really. Taught him in high school for a semester. Genuinely nice kid.

Yeah Cotric is as much a media darling as anyone. Many high profile commentators including Gould went to bat for him
He's a great kid, plays the game clean and hard. Got a tackle wrong and copped the consequences. As Jake T should have.

f**k me.... Identical tackles, yet Cotric is sent off and gets a grade three dangerous throw with a three week ban (even with the early guilty plea), and Trbojevic gets a grade one and a zero week ban with an early guilty plea...

What a load of shit.

Pains me when certain deluded fans whinge that the refs should come out and give a press conference after every game and explain their decisions/analyse their performance, because it would solve sweet f**k all as the weekly Annesley press conferences have proven.

But would it be hard for someone from the review committee to come out every Monday and just go over all the charges and explain how they came to each grading? That way the fans at least know where they are coming from i.e. what constitutes a grade 1 from a grade 2 etc.. is there a written science to it or do they make it up as they go? Because with the inconsistency this year it certainly seems the latter.

Cotric driving him into the ground head first probably was seen worse. It just looked worse. Cotric isn’t a dirty player just a tackle gone wrong. Thought Jake T would get a grade 2 though

They weren't at all. The only thing identical about the tackles would be that they are defined as Dangerous Tackles.

I thought Cotric's was clearly worse, but i dont think Jake's was a grade 1
To me, if they swapped the Luke and Jake T charges, i think the MRC would have nailed the Cotric/Jurbo/Luke charges.

Annesley should ditch the meaningless stats and do this instead. It would mean much more to the game's supporters and provide transparency. Unfortunately, as the season's gone on Annesley is more and more trying to avoid criticism/damage to the refereeing "brand" and becoming more and more inconsistent in doing so.

What did Elliott Whitehead do to get charged? I can’t even remember the incident in question.

And no charge for Maloney’s textbook crusher on Bateman?

Pathetic once again from the MRC

Luke should fight the charge. There's no way he should be facing 2-3 weeks while Jake T gets off.

If he fights and gets it downgraded to a grade one does he also still get the early guilty discount on the grade one penalty? Given they would only be contesting the grade, not his guilt.

Luke’s tackle was fine IMO. Looked worse than it was. Not as bad as Jake T’s in terms of outcome
