Judiciary Charges 2019

I think Luke is a grubby little merkin as much as the next person, but getting 3 weeks for that is just a laughable disgrace, and is salt in the wound for the Warriors who were already f**ked out of a win

I'm sure this will raise some hackles (and I'm sorry if it does) but let's remember that the Jordan McLean tackle on Alex Mckinnon actually looked really innocuous.
Now we have three tackles where a player was turned upside down and dropped and the NRL judiciary tries to justify why they think one is worth a sendoff and 3 weeks and another is only a penalty and a 'sorry for wasting your time sir'.

I've got nothing against Jake, but if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it's a duck - and that was an extremely dangerous tackle.

I understand if the match officials (who only see it once at real speed) can think it didn't look too bad. But the Bunker gets to watch it multiple times from multiple angles. The match review can watch it a million times and are allowed to view footage of similar events. i don't understand how they can get it so wrong.

And I really don't understand how they think that a statement saying that the tackles were different because this one was a little higher and in that one the player rolled a little further is going to satisfy the punters. If legends of the game like Sterling, Daley, Johns and Walters can't see a difference, how can your average fan have any faith in the system?

TLDR: All we want is consistency.

Definitely a more serious offence than the Jake T tackle. Glad the NRL are taking these vicious clips to the head seriously.

What? How exactly can he say he didn’t try to trip him?
"he faces the same outcome should he be found guilty at the hearing"

Not a matter of if he tripped him or not. He will miss a week max. He is just going to the judiciary to be a pain in the arse because of the MRC and the judiciary being a pain in the arse all season.

F**k em and waste their time.

Maloney only has a single prior. The other one he beat at the judiciary.

Incorrect. The week he beat a charge at the judiciary he had two charges - one he plead guilty to, the other he was cleared of:

He was then suspended in Round 10 for the hit on Nikorima:

Yep, you're right, forgot about the two charges in the one week. The NRL site had him 20% loading but 40% would be correct.
