I know I am bias but Young was attempting to get his hands under the ball to hold it up to prevent the try he failed.

To me the first attempt there wasn't any gouging of the eyes. The second attempt doesn't look pretty but unless there is another view I just can't see exactly what that hand is in contact with. To me it looks lower on the face than the eyes around the nose and mouth (still not needed in the game) which would explain the lack of reaction from the Warriors player and the denial that it was an eye gouge from both players.
