The Cleary tackle was fine but I'm loving the outrage. It's feels fantastic to be hated
I dont think it deserved to be reported. Was just a tackle that went awkwardly. But i think he's lucky its only a fine too as the MRC are f**king wild at the best kf times

When calling people names can get you 4 weeks, but a closed fist swinging arm as third man into a tackle only gets a fine it's really hard to judge what the MRC will do

I guess they decided this was along the lines of cannonball tackles which only get fined and not a hip drop where they can hand you 5 weeks.

Once again the NRL proves it doesn’t care about player safety by just handing out a fine to the Golden Chin.

It was a deliberate attempt to break a player’s leg a la Issac Luke on Rangi Chase and should have been punished as such.

In an impressive display the NRL judiciary have not suspended Nathan Cleary.

Thankfully not everyone in the NRL is woke. They truly understand Rugby League. To hell with those who want our game to go soft.

I thought it was going to attract a suspension. IMO, the tackle had a real chance for things to go wrong. It wasn’t a classic hip drop but it was dangerous contact.

Glad he got off but wouldn’t have been disappointed if it was a week on the sidelines.

I think he is lucky to get a fine and not a suspension; it just looked awkward and dangerous.

If he had of been suspended though, could easily have seen him challenge it at the judiciary and win.

Think that’s a terrible look for the judiciary. Whilst there might not have been intent, it ends up a very dangerous tackle, and Cleary was entirely responsible for it ending up that way, he could have prevented it happening - I’d certainly argue that he had more ‘control’ and therefore opportunity to stop it ending the way it did than the Dragons guy did who got 5 weeks.
There’s no way there’s 5 weeks difference between the 2 incidents.
