The Game Judiciary & Match Review charges - 2022 season

Nah it all makes perfect sense now...

"He also goes on to say that Luke Patten form the MRC claimed that this incident was a tackle with the forearm from Nelson to the back of Makatoa’s head and was considered careless and risk of injury is “low”".

Don't mind the swinging arm, clenched fist involved. Clear intent to inflict damage to the player who mind you was already held by two team mates and completely unable to defend or protect against it.

But nah, that one is low grade, fine.

Someone has to do something about this, there has to be an investigation.

Seriously the judiciary are completely inept.

Watch them throw the book at Barnett for his hit to "send a message" (rightfully so mind you, maybe 16 weeks is a bit much though), yet they completely fail to send a message around the NAS hit.

And here I was only coming in here to nominate Will Smith for a Grage 2 striking charge!

Interesting that if you get three charges in one game, all are listed as "first offence".
Similarly, under the old system, loading only applied from weeks prior, not charges in the same week.

The logic behind that is that none of the charges of that week are proven, so you can't add loading for something that hasn't been resolved or contested.

Montoya given four matches off for calling Kyle Feldt a small bundle of twigs used for firewood. The world has officially gone mad. What happens if someone calls someone the c word on the field? 6 matches?

No matches, its not a slur against gays, women or blacks.

Montoya should perhaps be thankful he didn't get the same punishment Garry Jack received for his slur against Ian Roberts. At least Roberts paid the bill for Jack's face to be reconstructed.

So Montoya gets 4 weeks for calling someone a name and NAS gets no weeks for a swinging arm :)

What has become of the once great game of Rugby League?

As the gayest guy on this forum - which is a FACT - I find the ban pretty wild. He has been prosecuted by media - he's done his time. He will miss the sponsors. Let him get on with his job.

It didn't offend me. Mind you, I don't go looking to be offended - ever.

I also understand that it would possibly upset young - say 10-16 - masculine queers that are still struggling with their identity. I probably would have felt a bit shit. But even then, not enough to wish the dude a four game suspension.

PS. Montoya is probably a power bottom anyway. So DrAmAtiC!!
