No one has commented but.... since when does the ref stop play when a defender (Manu in the 13th min.) hurts his leg in a tackle?
Never any doubt that it was anything other than a lower leg injury,
It stopped our momentum and allowed the roosters to reset their line.

While I am at it... Tupou has a habit of bending back tackled players after they have been stopped. Lomax had a scary moment in the 36 min.
Luckily his legs weren't pinned or he would have joined Sua on the sidelines.
Its clearly something they train to do.

I week ! Simply unbelievable , but then again as many of us have said before the top teams are like a pregnant woman - whatever you do don’t go upsetting them as they may lose the babe .

I am just sick to death of the slap on the wrists that their players get for tackles that would not be out of place in a back alley of the Cross . The NRL needs to clear this matter up , call in the refs and the judiciary and emphasis the necessity of a level playing field for each of the 16 teams .

What a pack of A-holes they are ! 😡

regarding the tupou careless high tackles. Annessley said he should have gone to the sin bin and basically said that if a player stays down then the referees look more at sin binning the culprit.
Referee Adam Gee will be refereeing park footy this week and Ashley Klein should just retire.

Well that will do me!!!!
Hook needs to bring in some trained actors to teach the boys how to lie down like a dog or get some tips from Tedesco.

WTF has happened to the game I once played and loved?
Since when did injury dictate the penalty of a dangerous or reckless tackle.

The NRL can talk all they like about the MRC and Judiciary being independent but who appoints them in the first place? Secondly, I would be astounded if directions and discussions don't take place behind closed doors about who should or should not get suspended, gradings and for how long.

The Cleary tackle from a few weeks ago was a joke. Not wishing any harm or injury to any player, but would have been very interesting if the tackled player broke his leg or did an ACL and what punishment Cleary would have received. It was infinitely more deliberate than what Fui did but Fui was simply unlucky with the injury it caused. One cops a $1k fine and the other 5 weeks (i think).

Maybe this is the new tactics brought in by the Roosters' new assistant defence coach Jason Ryles?

Just like everything else involved with the MRC and Judiciary, we cop the brunt of so much -
*Tyson touching the ref BECAUSE THE EFFING REF WAS IN TYSON'S WAY and gets a week,
*Dragons player passing into defender on the ground by accident - 1 week,
*Magic Round 2021 send offs - long term suspensions when charges were tougher,
*Rava suspension on Whitehead longer due to tougher charges,
*Tupou 1 week suspension due to charges being more lenient.

I'm sick of having to whinge. You guys probably are sick of me whinging as well - sorry fellas.

We are all on the same page DD (except for that idiot that keeps trolling our forum) basically if things were equal across the NRL we would be happy , but we also have CEO's and managers of the NRL consistently tell us things are equal when they are clearly NOT. Why is it possible for members of this forum to produce evidence in a matter of minutes to identify the inequality but yet the NRL struggles to find consistency, and then tries to justify its decisions with feeble excuses.

I think we cop it because the club has been , saying little ..... Its like keep giving it to us we like it ....... They need to be vocal like the top clubs , or say nothing and enjoy getting reamed .....

I agree with you illusion, and I have also been critical of Hooks lack of emotion at press conferences, but I will praise him this week, he spoke highly of both teams and questioned all the obvious decisions that we were dealt, and he also maintained the higher ground unlike Robinson who acknowledged nothing the Dragons did, which is very poor form on a day like that.

You are right Illusion. I know we have red and white in our veins insofar as our love of the Dragons is concerned. After Hook's "spray" at the post match interview, I'm expecting that Hook will display more "aggression" in future interviews rather than taking matters on the chin. I hope so anyway.

100% it was
I agree. It was a bit lower than a traditional hip drop however the motion is the same. Hargreaves drags, twists and then brings his forearm down onto the leg. Tupou going on with it imo was pretty shitty too. You dont think he heard Sua yell out in pain? It was unnecessary contact and not to mention high around his neck. If Lomax gets cited for a back slam - how does this get unnoticed?

Your families ignorance you should say likening a football game to battles and war - you have to be kidding

My brother is a Chooks supporter and messaged me saying "The best team won on the day. They showed a resolve that would make the diggers proud." That's what the day should mean to supporters of both teams.
Keep going pal. The more you post, the stupider you look. Although I'm not quite sure you can get any dumber.
