So 4 weeks are all clear eye gauges are worth these days?
So what happened to 10-12 or 20 week suspensions handed out in years gone by
He was clearly doing it standing up, no accident, used to be classified as the grubbiest act in the game.
So protection of the players does not matter when its the eyes, but a glancing blow to the head all hell breaks loose
Fed dinkum and Fui copped 5 for a so called accidental hip drop

Not only that, if you view the video of the incident, Wakeham walks away with the widest grin on his face after he did it. The useless pr ck.
I've looked up the internet and found that George Burgess was the last (open to any one else's knowledge) person to have been charged for eye gouging in 2019 on Robbie Farah in Souths v Tigers game - suspended for 9 games.

Therefore, Wakeham got off pretty lightly - again, the useless.....

sshhh. Its the struggling Dogs and they need a helping hand... and oh I forgot Gus the influential figure is there
All their on field misdemeanours including Pangai have been treated in comparison to many others this year with a Rooster feather duster

Eye gouging is definitely the grubbiest act on a football field and Wakeham's action was clearly pre-meditated as he points his finger then sticks it in Sloan's eye. He rakes his hand and then smiles about it when standing with the ref. A 4 week penalty for that is disgusting!

JWH copped nothing for a deliberate hip drop on Su'A

No charges on any Dragons players from game against Cowboys. Bird not charged for "hip drop".

This decision only Re enforces that players are only charged if an injury occurs out of the tackle with the exception of JWH on Anzac Day.
To me this tackle was no different to the Fui one against the eels with the only difference being an injury.
Sounds terrible but I was kind of hoping he’d get a couple of weeks because of his poor form.
Lawrie should never have been penalised let alone charged.

I try to stay away from judiciary discussion, I really do. It boils my blood every time and it's just unhealthy for me. The shocking inconsistencies have been well documented on a weekly basis. Eg Every other week a Storm player getting away with something one of our blokes would get months for.

I just had to comment when I saw Josh Papali escape charges for a blatant shoulder charge. Great player but he has form in this area. I remember he took one of our guys out with one some time ago and got off Scott free then too. The one yesterday was careless and a text book shoulder charge. Mikaeli was caught twice last year for shouldering opponents around the hip and copped 8 weeks. When will this cheating end? Reminds me of Billy slater all those years ago. Couldn't have him miss the final so the NRL orchestrated their own loophole and we all just submit.

I would hope our club is at the NRL integrity unit's door each time these double standards come up, but alas, by the way we keep copping it you can be sure we just cop it lying down.

There are bigger, more important injustices in the world but this is supposed to be a level playing field and it's as corrupt as it gets. Meanwhile Molo is facing a monster ban...

My beef is the grading system. It Is rife for possible manipulation. A low grade means a player is off with a fine and a higher grade can take out a player for many weeks And thereby weaken a team significantly.

I watch replays of various incidents and IMO some glaring inconsistencies are plainly evident.

Why buy a season ticket and go to matches when some favoured teams or those with perceived ‘behind the scenes’ influence seem to have incidents waved through with light or no citings. Other teams receiving exaggerated gradings when a fine should suffice.

great post mate, sit back and watch how the top eight teams are treated over the next two weeks compared to the bottom eight, been that way for years.
