https://www.nrl.com/news/2019/10/07...ced-young-raiders-rewarded-for-improved-form/

1 Ryan Papenhuyzen - Melbourne Storm
2 Campbell Graham - South Sydney Rabbitohs
3 Curtis Scott - Melbourne Storm
4 Brad Parker - Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
5 Reuben Garrick - Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
6 Kalyn Ponga - Newcastle Knights
7 Brodie Croft - Melbourne Storm
8 Corey Horsburgh - Canberra Raiders
9 Reed Mahoney - Parramatta Eels
10 Thomas Flegler - Brisbane Broncos
11 David Fifita - Brisbane Broncos
12 Angus Crichton - Sydney Roosters
13 Victor Radley - Sydney Roosters
14 AJ Brimson - Gold Coast Titans
15 Nat Butcher - Sydney Roosters
16 Emre Guler - Canberra Raiders
17 Tino Fa'asuamaleaui - Melbourne Storm
18 Paul Momirovski - Wests Tigers

Even if France has bought a full strength team they wouldn't have been much chance. Could be a long night.

I really don't see the point of this game? :worried:
If France has the money for this farce, why not send a capable squad that might compete in the 9s..

I know "B team" gets thrown out there a lot when there are a lot of players out but that would legitimately barely pass as a France "Knights" team. Arguably maybe 2-3 of those would make a full strength French 17.

Arguably?

3 were in the World Cup squad.

Did Navarrette fly all this way to Australia for this match????

So so so hard to be a fan of French rugby league where they consistently keep shooting themselves in the dick.

The most promising half didn't make the seventeen for Miloudi. 60+ for the Kangaroos

Which was far from full strength too from memory. Although I'm not sure I've ever actually seen France "full strength", it could just be an urban legend.

There's always 5+ players out even for the biggest tournaments. For one-offs usually the whole team is out. This team matches some of the teams they've put out against England and lost by 70+

Yep.
I mean they have a fairly small SL player pool so maybe injuries have a bigger effect than we give credit for.

But tbh their best players like Gigot and Fages barely seem interested in playing for them

They played last year in the qualifiers and the whole team got worse each game played. They need a top coach like Robinson to unite them all for a common goal of getting the French back to the top.

I thought they were pretty good in the qualifiers? They pissed it in. A surprisingly not disappointing year for the French
