Well now im reading that the Sharks are really sinking fast and may be replaced with the CC Bears next year, Surely Poore would sign with us now.

put it this way, if he doean't end up signing with us than he was never going to sign with us and only used us as a bargaining tool..

that is offcourse you choose to believe the media.

Not that I'd claim responsibility for this being right or wrong, but somebody in the know who I trust told me we have offered $350k to Poore, which is above what the Sharks have offered by a decent amount. You get the feeling he probably doesn't want to come to us or he would have signed already, he's either holding out for a better offer from the Dragons or will sign with the Sharks to be closer to home.

Not sure I'd want to be putting down over 300k for a prop anyway, especially not one who isn't even a rep player. He has a decent pedigree, but we'd have to be paying overs with him being the only decent front rower left on the market this year.

$250k - $280k is what i'd think he's worth.

in saying that though the club may need to pay overs to get a decent prop playing next to fui.

The difference being that Cayless wasa rep player, at least until a few weeks ago when he retired - actually, he was the captain of the current World Champions.

That was written up in the telegraph today

Cayless will be playing in England next year, so that will free up a heap of cash.

I expect at least 3 BIG signings for next year, with Poore being the 1st if he accepts this offer.
