Cayless was terrific yesterday, no doubt, we need more of it from him.

However, if he has been tremendous in his last few games, that must have been someone else who went AWOL last week against Cronulla, and who was out gunned by snowden.

well..it's sort of a Cat and Mouse game atm, everyone's waiting to see what the big cheese is doing before they make their move, Poore may well be holding 3 clubs to ransom but have you noticed that the following frontrowers have yet to sign with any clubs yet..

Matt Scott
Mat Bell
Shane Shackleton
Mickey Paea
Nate Myles
Josh Cordoba
Junior Paulo
Matt white
Jeremy Latimore
scott Logan
Kade Snowden
Ben Ross

and probably a few others I can't think off atm..

To be honest Stagger, I've been thinking the same thing.

I think once Poore makes his move, we'll see a lot of the other off-contract front-rowers start to make their moves.

Some of the others off-contract include: Charlie Leano, Danny Williams, Jack Afamasaga, Ian Donnelly, Adam Cuthbertson, Shane Tronc, Dayne Weston, Scott Geddes, Michael Greenfield, Jaiman Lowe, Ricky Thorby, Frank-Paul Nuuasala, Lesson Ah Mau, Evarn Tumivave.

yeah this tends to happen every year with marquee players coming off contract, everyone holds out until they make a move and then the musical chairs start to take affect.

btw, there's some handy players in that list you provided.

Nice try at putting words into my mouth. You've done a MITS there.
Hall of Fame? Yeh, he'll probably get there. Would I begrudge it? No.

Furthermore........

Loyal? Absolutely.

Consistantly above average or great? No way. Long hall toiler at best.

Legend? Not on my list, and not compared to those who have passed before him.

Deserved of Hall of Fame status? Yes, probably, but mainly due to longetivity and loyalty.

Suity

I actually agree with Suity.

I'm a fan of Cayless', but I don't consider him a legend. As a bloke, sure. But as an Eel...Considering Hindmarsh is a legendary Eel and all...Not quite imo.

The North Queensland boss held talks with the Sydney Roosters Nate Myles manager Chris Orr in February on a range of issues, including the prospect of luring the Queensland representative back `home'.
But the price tag attached to Myles – close to $400,000 – was well beyond what the Cowboys could afford.

johnny Gibbs on 2UE has revealed at about 15 minutes ago that Saints have withdrawn their offer to Poore because they simply couldn't compete with the Parra offer.
