Well they can't retroactively award a penalty and he only gets 1 week for the hit, the 2nd week is due to loading.

Because Ben Cummins is a genius who did his very best to keep the Roosters in the game last night. The hit on Ponga, Teddy taking the quick tap off the mark, the penalty for offside when SKD intercepted the ball, the thousand penalties on the knights line....

Clearly in his brain it just didn't compute that the defending premiers could get spanked so hard by the team that has won 3 of the last 4 wooden spoons
