Only concern with Tedesco is that we should be building towards the 2026 World Cup, in 2026 Tedesco will be 33 and you'd have to be thinking he'd be eyeing retirement or Super League, not many fullbacks still playing in their mid thirties.

I'd pick one of Edwards, Ponga, Trbojevic or Latrell to be the Aussie Fullback for the 2026 World Cup and blood them in these 2024 and 2025 tournaments so that they're well prepared for World Cup.

That goes for DCE also, if something happens to Cleary this finals campaign they should go for a younger halfback because no chance is DCE lining up for Australia as a 37 year old halfback and not getting decimated.

Ponga has ruled himself out for internationals this year, Newcastle just put out a statement. Is concentrating on the 2025 season.

Ponga should definitely put his hand up for the kiwis.

im sure he also used to rule himself out of the junior kiwis v junior kangaroos clashes so not to get involved in a tug of war over his selection.

lol!!

As if he'll give up origin for the kiwis. He had to be lectured into representing the Maori in All Stars by his mother.

Ponga has chosen a summer on the bags with his mates over his country.

Deep down he knows he should be playing for NZ.

He can't bring himself to face us.
