Latrell & Turbo are our best centre pairing when fit and firing.I can only assume you didnāt actually watch origin to leave out Edwards, Angus Crichton and Bradman Best.
Turbo hasnāt been fit in like forever and Cobbo is well behind Coates and Holmes for me. Walsh has a better highlight reel but Edwards does all the little things right like positioning, defence and awareness. Thereās no way you watched games 2 and 3 and came away with the conclusion that Walsh is better than EdwardsLatrell & Turbo are our best centre pairing when fit and firing.
Walsh is better than Edwards at his best, as is Ponga, don't need three fullbacks plus fullback options in Latrell and Turbo all in the side.
Fair call on Chrighton, chalk that up to QLD bias
Walsh is more dangerous than Edwards for sure and Edwards is less versatile than Ponga. And it is the latter reason he doesn't make the side. Walsh has missed quite a bit of footy this year and wasn't at his best in Origin, in a side that was on the back foot.Turbo hasnāt been fit in like forever and Cobbo is well behind Coates and Holmes for me. Walsh isn't better than Edwards. He can do things Edwards cannot, and vice versa, but Edwards has by far the more complete game.Latrell & Turbo are our best centre pairing when fit and firing.

Again, Edwards isn't making the team due to his lack of versatility and the fact that there are already 3-4 fullback options in the side. He's not needed.Walsh isn't better than Edwards. He can do things Edwards cannot, and vice versa, but Edwards has by far the more complete game.
Walsh is more dangerous I donāt disagree but you still choose ignore all the other facets like defence, positioning, organising the line, repeat efforts and metres.Walsh is more dangerous than Edwards for sure and Edwards is less versatile than Ponga. And it is the latter reason he doesn't make the side. Walsh has missed quite a bit of footy this year and wasn't at his best in Origin, in a side that was on the back foot.
Walsh, Ponga , Turbo, Latrell, even Cobbo if needed... this side doesn't need a guy that can only play fullback.
Coates would be there for me but again that might have been more wishful thinking on my part that he would choose PNG. Probably not though.
I donāt get your versatility point; surely you pick your best fullback to play, I donāt know, fullback?Again, Edwards isn't making the team due to his lack of versatility and the fact that there are already 3-4 fullback options in the side. He's not needed.
NopeWith Moses out for the year the spine should be
1. Turbo/ Walsh
6. Dearden/ Munster
7 Cherry Evans
9 Hunt
I did pick my best fullback, Walsh. He offers more in attack and a kicking game. Edwards has only just managed to crack the NSW team, he's not all of a sudden at the front of the queue for the Kangaroos job. If not Walsh, it will be Ponga as he offers more.I donāt get your versatility point; surely you pick your best fullback to play, I donāt know, fullback?
Walsh creates points I guess. Problem is he does it for both sides. He is fun to watch, but he aint the best fullback in the game. Edwards, Ponga and Teddy all well ahead. Add Turbo to that list when fit.I did pick my best fullback, Walsh. He offers more in attack and a kicking game. Reece āgloryā Walsh isnāt that close to making the Australian team. He needs to lose the focus on glitter plays. As you could see in games 2 & 3, went to water when things got tough. He spent 3/4 of his time taking a dive, laying down for a penalty or walking back to the defensive line holding a body part while looking up at the big screen to see himself.
A pass from me.
Again you simply choose to ignore all the other facets of fullback play almost as if they donāt matter.I did pick my best fullback, Walsh. He offers more in attack and a kicking game. Edwards has only just managed to crack the NSW team, he's not all of a sudden at the front of the queue for the Kangaroos job. If not Walsh, it will be Ponga as he offers more.
