Katich cut from contract list

I think this is also ridiculous. You are allowed to speak your mind ffs, otherwise what is the point of interviewing someone.

I agree on Johnson, but that means Siddle is guarenteed a spot. Although there is good bowling in Siddle, just lacks a brain. To bowl well take wickets then go right away from what got you wickets the next innings i just mind boggling to watch.

Whereas Johnson is a raft of technical issues and an ability to wilt.

How the f**k would Katich know what Clarke has or hasn't said that has affected his contract? It's bullshit. There were 4 selectors who made that decision and frankly if he is going to carry on like a little bitch then they might have got it right.

I've long be a Katich fan, but this whining has lost me. He's not the first, nor the most undeserving player ever to get dropped, but I can't think of any other who has had as long a tantrum. The guy has started the season with wickets and runs. Had he continued to perform he would have really put the acid on Inverarity to call him up if a slot opened up this summer. Now he's basically retired his ass. Just shut the f**k up and let your performances do the talking Katich because opening your mouth for another whinge is just pathetic.

Yeah, I like Kat as a player and he was bang on about the selectors...but it's time to get over it. A couple of his outbursts since the original selector bashing have been a little odd, to say the least. He could have knuckled down and made it a real embarrassment for the selectors on the field, instead of making himself look a twat.

.

Also this. I'm a fan of both Kat and Clarke, and I can't see Clarke alone having the clout to get him not only dropped from the side but scratched from the contract list as well. This would have come from a lot higher up than the skipper. I also can't see any Australian captain actively sabotaging his side over a petty incident most people had forgotten about, which is what Katich is implying. Even Ponting didn't sabotage the side deliberately, he just played favourites.

Was he hard done by, well probably, do you cop it and move on, or have a sad.

Well we know what Simon does.

Do you really believe Clarke has forgotten about being grabbed by the throat?

I don't think Clark had much to do with Kat getting dropped except for maybe a nod and a wink, but Kat is telling the truth in that he has buckleys chance of getting back in that side. He'd already come back from the grave a few years ago, but at 36 or whatever, dumped for his age, manhandled the captain... no chance.

But I have a plenty of man love for the Kat and his hairy chest, and I may not understand the finer points of the game, but I can't help but think something is wrong with the game when the Australian captain is bleached, waxed, manicured and has the arse of a 12 year old. I would want to shake him by the throat too.

I guess now I'll just wait until Katich retires and writes his autobiography, where he'll tell us what he really thinks.

Katich should have been reprimanded at the time of the incident TBH. He should count himself lucky he wasn't sacked when he did. Imagine doing that to a bloke in your work place.. Katich has plenty to lose with all this and he won't realize that until it is too late.

If I was Simon Katich I'd be using it as a chance to give them a real spray and tell 'em what I really thought of them. Besides he's no longer a CA Contracted Player, Should tell 'em to shove it I don't work for you anymore

Katich should emigrate to New Zealand and take up a spot on their test side.

He can play test cricket for them til he's 45 then.

This. His outburst screams of sour grapes. Whether or not his incident with Clarke was what got him cut from the side, I think any chance of him getting back into the Australian side he had a week ago is now gone.

f**k I hate Michael Clarke with a fiery passion. Katich would be one of very few blokes deserving of a spot, but all bow down to CA's golden boy "Pup"

hate him all you like but he had nothing to do with Kat being de-listed

Hildich and co made the decision, nothing to do with Pup, he wasn't even a selector when that decision was made

Not convinced about that

Kat was del-isted after Clarke was confirmed Aust captain, and it doesnt mean he had zero say on the matter if he wasnt officially a selector at the time. Youd think he was consulted in some shape or form. After all, lots of talk how the Aust captain will be in on all major decisions. Grooming the side you want would be a major decision I would have thought

I dont think there is much doubt that Clarke is a bit of a wanker away from cricket.

Lee has come out and given him a velied slap today.

In saying that though his tactical ability as a captain already looks a lot better than ponting ever was.
