You have the players? A team consisting of Blair, Morgan, keatimg, allgood, lasalo, poore and being led around by sandow and Roberts is not good enough to make it to the finals. Your dept is atrocious, easily the worst roster in the comp

+1

There are some serious nuffies running around in Parramatta jerseys this year.

And souths have won a record 19 title. We know how relevent history is, dont we! Oh wait - for Souffs fans ancient history is all they'v got!

And talking about Souffs - you were 0-9 in 1955 were you not?

The worst human resource decision parramatta made was not the acquisition of a player, but rather the failure to retain one for less than a song. In 2009, parramatta couldn't win a game for love or money. Then they brought Kevin Kingston into first grade. His impact from the bench out of dummy half compressed a number of defences and gave Hayne, and Mortimer, room to move wider. Kingston left the next year for Penrith because Parra failed to make an offer, and parra haven't been the same since.

Parramatta should never have gone for Sandow and Roberts. What they had there in Mortimer and Robson was fine.....what they needed was a dummy half who could give them some impetus.....the 550k should have been directed at De Gois or Luke both of whom were off contract last year....had they done that, they'd be a very different side this year.....

The fact that Kearney has failed to identify this illuminates his shortcomings as a coach.....

A problem for Parramatta will be if they decide to sack Kearney, but don't make the decision until late this season. What calibre of players are going to be attracted to the club in its current state? Why would you sign with a club when you don't know who will be coaching it next season?

If Parramatta are looking to get rid of Kearney they need to make the decision ASAP otherwise they are going to miss the boat on recruiting any players in 2013 and it is going to be another wasted year.

Burwood i see your point but the board we currently have will want to save face and let him see out his CURRENT contract which runs out at seasons end.

BTW we have had 3 seasons of disappointment whats another one next year? at least with a new coach the players will hopefully respond to a new playing style and coaching structure.

IMO of the 3 coaches touted to come as an assistant to SK Taylor and Murray are the 2 i'd prefer.

it's the start of the nails being hammered into SK's coffin imo

he is to an extent I speak of N hindmarsh, i say that only in his running game is largely ineffective
although safe, metres are not in abundance and he hardly offloads and the first time in 100 runs he actually beat a dogs player on Friday
I used to be one of the fans who wanted hindy to go on til the year 2030, but this year has been the bad
he was good last year for mine

^^that may equate to him being a problen

Murray would be crazy to leave his job as Knights coaching director to join the Eels. Perhaps he wants to return to NRL coaching thou or feels his living in Bennetts shadow. Its hard for coaches to be out of the game as long as he has and be able to return with success, have a look at Lang for proof.

it might not be it could be the board. could be a small group of players or just one player, but at this stage the coach is coming out saying he practically has no idea of how to get out of it

Murray is already employed with Newcastle as a coaching director- not sure he'll want to pack up and move South for possibly only 18 rounds just to help out Kearney.

The situation at Parra reminds me a bit of Newcastle since they signed Smith as coach for 2007- a constant phase of rebuilding. Smith came in and rebuilt the team inherited from Hagan --> Stone came in a rebuilt the team inherited from Smith --> Bennett came in and rebuilt the team inherited from Stone. Only now will we hopefully be able to have the stability to form a good team and push for something other than finishing 7th or 8th at best.
