Don't jump to any conclusions yet, no announcement for 2-4 weeks according to the article (with quote from Keary). The Dragons are world champs at being linked to players, but not signing them.

Reminds me of the time that a news sports story was announcing the apparent signing of Kimmorley, complete with him wearing a digitally enhanced Dragons jersey as a backdrop.

I mentioned in an earlier post a few weeks ago that he had agreed to sign with us from a friend who is a south's man with family contact inside their club.Asked him today & was told it is a done deal.I'm still going to wait for the club to announce it as we all know about rumours.South's are still going after Tedesco in a big way as well.

Poor Keary if he joins, now he will be getting all the blame for the attack whilst Widdop continues to play like rubbish.

On a serious note he would be a good signing. Someone I can see as a long term solution to the halves rather than a quick fix. I would offer 450k to Benji and let go of Widdop and that way you are probably paying what you are this season for the halves with better quality. Later on down the track blood Wallace or Hutch with Keary. Give Benji a couple of years to mould these guys.

Perfect timing if we can snag him ...and we should be going hard for Segeyaro as well, that will sort out our spine for 2017?
I do think we may be 1 big forward short, I keep thinking back to a Weyman type of player...
Also what is happening with Joel Thompson , if he is not injured he is suspended!!!

So no announcement as yet. Is it really happening? Is this a done deal?

Our mob will find a way to stuff this up and he'll sign with the Storm for less dollars and go onto shine under Bellamys coaching. Whilst our Pathways Director is left at the front gate scratching his head and balls talking about how we are moving forward!!!

I cannot understand the fascination with Hutch (organic growth maybe). He's had a few NRL opportunities & came up holding SFA. He needs a fair bit of development. Based on what ZI've seen in NRL he just doesn't have "it". While he can excel in NSW cup, some games he even dominates. What's holding his transition into the top grade back?

Hutch got MOM in last years origin in the juniors, he was in a game with both states best players around him and he got the gong. He can't be that bad? Nona and Wallace are also good from what I am hearing so as long as they get a go instead of Widdop. He has been very poor this year and it's is so obvious why the attack is so poor when he is getting his hands on the ball most of the time on tackle 6.

I am sure Demitriou would have a better idea who would be the best of the 3 seeing he is looking after the Cutters.

God I feel for Benji, watching him on NRL360 you can tell he is a shattered bloke - not wanted by a club I feel he has grown close to.

Such a great advocate and role model our club.

If it is true about Keary signing... I wish Benji all the best in his future, hopefully as an ambassador for our club.

Agree with this, probably for the last month he is a shell of a man on TV, and I felt it was there in his performance against the Raiders too, with Widdop having most of the control, Benji just playing a secondary role.

His passion has been sucked out, and with injury he may not have a chance to redeem himself.

To be fair, his ongoing injury issues put the club in a position where they would be taking a fairly large gamble on him as first choice half beyond this year. I also think its unlikely he'd get an offer from another NRL club at his supposed market value.
I actually like Benji and think he's the only player we have has any kind of genuine X factor. Left of centre thinking - if they can agree to terms on money, would he have value as a super - sub? Play him off the bench and send him on with a roving commission when the opposition forwards are tired.
