Just on the Keogh sanction.

He's not an employee, he's an elected official. It shouldn't be up to Lyall what happens here but the members.

The current board changed the constitution at the last AGM so that in this event they can just select someone else without going to an election. Which stinks.

I feel extraordinarily uncomfortable about the property development and this board. At Sharkcast we are still trying to find out what, if any, income the club receives from the commercial rent. It appears they have signed this away to the developer and we want to know why and what for.

That's a terrible but if news. So we basically sold the land and let them have the future benefits on the eastern side. The only side that can generate income once the apartments have been sold once.

How can that be, the original deal had us getting a slice of the shopping centre rent, to the tune of $1 million per annum.

Why would this have changed?

Don't we as financial members have a right to know? And if Keogh and/or board members are somehow benefiting financially from this alleged change, then wouldnt that be illegal?

Bloody druggo musicians - they is f**kin up our country, our shire and even our far-can forum I tell youse.

They ought to be taken out, lined up against a wall and shot. Trouble is as soon as you mentioned 'lined up' they'd be jumpin around like mexican jumpin' beans. "Pick Me, Pick Me"
The Shakcast boys have been proclaiming us THE ROCK'N'ROLL CLUB of the NRL for a few years now.
Finally it is coming to fruition.

"Newman and Schinazzi" can be our "Woodward and Bernstein".

Any chance someone with a name like Dave, Mike or Bob can run the club?

The Damian's just don't seem to cut it (well one does).... Could be an "Omen"....

I understood the club was going to secure the $1m pa or so rent from retail. If that has changed members should be told fullstop.P*ss weak if there has been a complete turnaround and hidden from view.
Questions i would be asking.
If the developer is now getting the loot, what has been the offset/contra?
Rebuilding the Leagues club at no cost to the club?
A share of profits provided DA approval of the hotel and 200 extra units?
Has the Leagues club received additional funds from the developer now, in exchange for retail income?
Will the developer instead build a Centre of Excellence sand extend grandstands in exchange for rental income?

Or am I being the usual dumb naive optimist?

Good questions.

If we aren't getting rent, we'd be getting something else.
