haha we all know fairness wont come into it.

I won't jump on him if he plays poor after just one game, the same way I don't jump on the bandwagon when he plays a good game either.

So far this year, I've been pretty balanced when pointing out his good games, as well as some of his shockers.

Convinced about his future as a first grade halfback, I am not, but it would be nice if he could lose the inconsistency, string a bunch of solid games together, so it takes away any ammunition it gives me altogether.

Unfortunately he hasn't been able to do that... so far.

Well you must admit his kicking game is pretty good. His passing isnt anything flash though and doesnt have much of a running game. But defense is up to stratch and guides the team around well. Not only that combo with Mullen is suberb what more can you ask of a dude playing like his 19th game of his career?

I'm not liking all this build up.

All eyes will be on Scotty. Hope he delivers the goods.

Also I don't want Smitty to put a line through him for next year if he has a bad game tomorrow night and we don't make the semis.

meh Dureau is a poor mans Cooper Cronk or Matt Orford and only half the size of them. I wouldn't be worried if he was dropped for Ben Rogers next year.

Have you blokes been watching Ben Rogers at the Dragons?

TBH, i have been forced to watch the dragons and the bloke is utter rubbish there. More often than not he just ruins a good set play. I just don't know what you blokes see in him yet :|

this is my first post I have looked in on the forum for a while and thought its time I gave my 20 cents. A few of you guys on here and not all of you mind you seem to give poor scotty a pretty hard time. here we have good young half back who is learning his trade hes was never going to be another a johns hell I doubt the world of rugby league will ever see another a johns but he seems to be getting better in the games ive been watching Ive noted that karma has stated that he only plays well at energy australia but I think that is just a inexperence thing I think as hes matures as a footballer he will overcome these things and become alot better away and at home i mean hes only played a handful of first grade games look how long it took gidley to become the player he is not to many players walk into first grade and are better than blokes that have been playing for years he may never be the greatest half but I do think he is our future and that hes going to be a real qaulity player.

A few of you guys on here, and not all of you mind, you seem to give poor Scotty a pretty hard time. Here we have good young half back who is learning his trade. He was never going to be another A Johns. Hell, I doubt the world of rugby league will ever see another A Johns, but he seems to be getting better in the games i've been watching.
I've noted that karma has stated that he only plays well at energy australia, but I think that is just a inexperence thing. I think as he matures as a footballer he will overcome these things and become alot better away and at home. I mean, he's only played a handful of first grade games. Look how long it took Gidley to become the player he is.
Not to many players walk into first grade and are better than blokes that have been playing for years. He may never be the greatest half but I do think he is our future, and that he's going to be a real qaulity player.
Talk it through in your head. Everywhere you stop for a breath, put a punctuation mark.

He just needs to use paragraphs and he'll be right. Way to welcome a new poster.
Yeah - i'm not really the person to be the punctuation police - being very haphazard myself - but his post was very good in content, but very hard to read for want of a few full stops and commas.
Not hard to shove a few in.

Howdy Red and Blue.

Don't worry mate, from your views you expressed in that first post you will have more people agreeing with you then disagreeing.

Not wanting to seem argumentative, but it's not your point - I'd be happy if most agreed with what i say.
I'd think i was right if most agreed.

This forum has a lot of yes-men. Most forums do.

Fitting in with the crowd doesn't make an interesting poster.
