I have to have a grumble today, people.

It's about this Kid Rock 'All Summer Long' song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwIGZLjugKA

I don't know whether to hate it or like it.

It's patriotic 'n all but the main grind I have with it is that he's stolen not only one piece of material but two and claimed it as his own.

Today's audience wouldn't know that these are 2 of the greatest songs from yesteryear and he just comes along and claims credit for what those other 2 bands did.
Biting material is the worst kind of theif in the music industry but to get greedy and take two snippets is going over-board.

I'll put it this way.....the movie Halloween was a masterpiece and for Rob Zombie to just come along and slap a fresh coat of paint over the picaso with some spray paint cheats history in my opinion no difference same scenario.
These original artists built the frame and chassis from the ground up and for today's generation to just come along and so cheaply steal it is beyond comprehension.
It's pretty easy for today's generation to touch up somebody elses structure from the olden days.
Cut out all the hard work and just trace over the hard yards.
God damn cheats.

It pisses me off that today's times steal yesteyears hits claiming it as their own.
They're lazy artists who can't make hits with their own material.

The nerve of Kid Rock thinking he's hit the majors!

Do Lenard Skynard and Warren Zevon' music companies give permission for today's artists to steal their bridges?

I feel really cheated about this song by Kid Rock.
For him to take any credibility for this song is an insult.
I can't believe it's aloud.

he used the Metallica song Sad But True for American Bad Ass.

with all music pieces, they are copywright, and he needs to get permission to reuse these.

Kid Rock is sh*t.

still, its a better effort than the band that ruined Supertramps version of Breakfast in America.. cant remember what the band was (something gay). but i really hope they die for that.

It's a horrible horrible song.. As per usual though, such sh*te will be rewarded with high chart success and massive over saturation air time by commerical radio..

Makes me remember why i only listen to JJJ when listening to the radio..

Sweet Home Alabama will remain as one of the greatest songs ever made.

Kid Rock's song though, is not as bad as everyone makes out. But my god it shows a lack of creativity by whoever.

The lyrics are aweful but his voice goes well with the song.

I'm actually very much into mash-ups and I found a VERY good one for Sweet Home Alabama.

Country Grammar vs Sweet Home Alabama

If anyone has a chance to listen to it, I thoroughly recommend it. But I don't think it would be good for the 'rock purists'.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4IECGgyLKo that is the song. The sound quality isn't very good though.

The secretary at work was whining about this song being on the radio too frequently.... so I asked her if she was aware that there were alternatives to tuning in to geniusFM....
She gave me a blank look and said "Huh ???"

Just a few moments later she was singing along with Kid c**k again.

Kid Rock is definitely in my top ten list of people who I'd like to see being thrown under a wheat harvester.

It's not as though sampling is a new concept. Back in the late 70s Beethoven’s 5th got turned into a disco track

Im sure the surviving members of Lynerd Skynerd and Warren Zevon are thankful for the royalties.

So the 'werewolves of london' guy gets royalties from Kid rocks chart success, does he?
Is that guy even alive.
What a song that is.
They're here howling around your kitchen door....better not let ém in.
Little old lady got mutilated late last night.

Hey, I got an idea......if I was to form my own band I'd call it B-12 and hit my singing career off with the global #1 smash hit 'Sweet Home Cabrammatta.'
How do you like the sound of that?

Seriously......what is memorable about todays generation film and music wise?

Look at that new Power Central Generation song currently...the guy looks like a skinny A-nemic Mariyln Manson.
What a f**king joke!
They've even stole their I.D. off that fallout boy crap.
It's all rubbish.
