Knights Chasing Cameron Phelps

Just heard on KO-FM they've tossed up speculation that the Knights could be chasing Canterbury player Cameron Phelps. WATCH THIS SPACE

The story I heard yesterday was that due to the Dogs resigning Utai, that the Dogs would consider letting him go. Anyway time will tell.

Interesting. From what they said tonight with the Bulldogs retaining Matt Utai there may not be room under the Dogs Salary cap. (Same old story really)

Well I've heard that they'll still be Premier League in some form.

Isn't he in a similar mould to McManus? I would rather have the flair of Vuna or Uate on the other wing. I suppose he would do alright at centre:

1. Kidley
2. McManus
3. Naiqama
4. Phelps
5. Vuna

Then again we have both Doogs brothers and carmont who could fill that centre spot as well.

For us to be chasing him Smith must have seen something in him.
It seems guys like Houston, Taia and Vuna etc are guys Smith has been watching for years and Phelps is probably in the same basket by the sounds of things.
I think we trust the coach on this.

As far as im aware carmont wont be at the club next year... keep it that way.

Callan Richardson although not ready for first grade would be playing premier league by next year and has a sh*t load more potential. Would hate to see the Knights sign Phelps only to have him sitting in premier league blocking Richardson's progress by forcing him to play from the bench of out of position just to accomodate Phelps.
