At the moment I'm thinking wtf kind of a signing is this..

EDIT: Nice highlights package JM. He looks like a complete different player to what I remember in that.

He's been one of the better halves over there for quite a while. Not sure why we signed Gower if we had Dobson in our sights though.

I feel really sorry for Albert..... its clear that Wayne doesnt see Gower as our White Knight.

Interesting signing really. Can be that solid guy next to Mullo if Tyrone cant prove he is the man for the job.

Good luck Ty, you have the rest of the season to prove you belong in this team.

I was under the impression that he went over there and grew into the best half in the SL? This could be a huge signing for us. He only needs to be solid to be of value... anything beyond that is pure gravy. You're right, Tim... Tyrone right under the pump now.

He's only 27, too... should be entering his best years. I'm quite happy with this signing... there's very little quality on the market at the moment, I don't think you could do much better.

He's not the best half in SL but he's rated because he has a pretty strong all-round game with few weaknesses, he's competent in all areas and does pretty much everything you would expect a 7 to do. I don't think he'll be a NRL standout or anything but he should be a solid option.

He's a very clever halfback he just couldn't defend at all. If that's improved he isn't a bad signing

Looks good. Has a show and go. Show is excellent his go isn't too flash lol.

I cam totally see the reasoning behind this signing. Mullen's clearly out best player and i think WB is thinking Robson is the best player bring the best out of Mullen.

He and Dureau are the two best half backs over there, only better options are young guys like Williams
or Keary.

An upgrade on Roberts and under thirty, can't complain.

That video package completely turned my view on him. Superb running and passing game. Matched up with Mullen could be anything. Tyrone shouldnt be despondent though, he's about to have three top halves around him to push him to be at his best and consistent. He has this year with Gower on top of him and learning from him as well and next year with Dobson. Suddenly looking solid in halves department.

Wonder why he was signed for just the one year? Option will be there i guess.

Not sure what to read into the 1 year deal. Wayne might be a bit cautious at the moment given how many disappointing signings we've had of late... might not want to invest too heavily... or he might still have a long term view of Tyrone being half, just not ready yet.

This seems completely out of the blue, but from first appearances it could be a very good signing. I know it's hard to compare Super League to NRL but if he is a true halfback with strong organizational skills then he could compliment Mullen very nicely!

I like Tyrone and I think he is a good talent but he hasn't really stepped up when we've really needed him to make the big plays, maybe this will be a good motivation for him to play well every week.

I wonder what Wayne's pecking order is going to be next year as far as the halves goes! Although I guess this looks like we probably won't be seeing Gidley at half-back again unless we are hit with major injuries next year.

Clydesdale will be eased from the bench no matter how good he's going, I'd wager.

Having a fast track to first grade for juniors cheapens the jersey, for mine. Make them earn it the hard way, they'll appreciate it far more once they do earn it. Would you appreciate your #9 jersey more if you went straight from NYC with little/no resistance... or would you savour it more if it took you 2 odd years of hard slog to get your hands on it? Would you ever let it go after the latter?

I don't think it's just about player talent at the moment... we're trying to set up something real here. It's about culture as far as I can see. It HAS to be hard to get into first grade, if it isn't then your first grade jersey isn't worth shit to anyone outside the paycheque they can collect by filling it.
