22-6 at halftime. Worst performance of the year. Hilder playing like absolute garbage, Paterson not far behind and our defence up the middle which has been outstanding in the last month or so has gone missing. I hope we can turn it around in the second half, but it doesn't look like it.

I don't think it helped that Campese clocked Hilder one for no reason...

Thank god we didn't have to waste an interchange when he got sent to the blood bin - hate that rule, especially when its not your own players fault!

Hopefully we see some improvement in the 2nd half...

Well we can't play any worse put it that way. Seven completed sets out of 13 is simply not good enough especially when you're playing for a spot in the eight.

they've had 10 more completions than us. unacceptable. we have bugger all direction and the forwards that were dropped were doing a far better job than their apparently more fancied counterparts.

i'm pissed. smith better be putting a rocket up their arse at the moment.

Smith should be saving up all the rockets for his own arse.

If the Panthers match was "the best coaching performance ever seen" as management claimed, then this was the worst.

Shocking, disgraceful tactical blunders right across the park.

If the coach spent as much time working on discipline in the ruck and developing the side around the Mullen/Dureau combination as he does writing endless possible team lists and playing 'pin the player on the team sheet' with a blindfold on, we might be able to show some cohesion.

This side would've been competitve today. They probably wouldn't have won, but they would not have disgraced the jumper. Our coach is not a fan of his cohesion and continuity is he?

Just listening on the radio but it seems like theres been alot of pressure on Mullen. Way too much pressure on him I think. Karawana's been non exsistent.

we have been owned, not much discussion to be had. We wouldn't beat the bulldogs with this effort.

I'm trying to tell myself not to bee too upset because overall it has been a pretty good season. we've played some good football at times, we haven't had much luck, and for a team who won't make the finals we have something quite rare - the respect of opposition teams, fans, and media.

Obviously I'd rather make the 8 even if everyone thought we were rubbish, but there is at least some comfort in us not being totally bagged by everyone and with the majority of league people tipping their hats to the way we play the game. It's not much, but it's something..... and I really need something at the moment because this match nearly made me throw a bowl of cereal against the wall.

Mullen had way to much pressure put on him, Dureau should have been in the side, it would have taken alot of pressure off of Mullen and given us another kicking option which we needed badly.

Dropping White was stupid!

Wicks imo looked to have been ok but then when you look at his stats for the game which are 6 tackles 2 missed and 8 hit ups for 85 metres you once again have to ask why the f**k was white dropped?

The drop balls and pathetic penalties were disgusting the players better think long and hard about this because i cant see us winning another game this year with the poor performance we showed today.

That said Canberra were to good for us and Campese carved us though he is a f**king grub!

Lets be ultimately positive. If we're fair dinkum we should beat the Cowboys, we traditionally don't lose too many Old Boys games, which would leave us needing to beat the Broncos in Suncorp on Friday Night Footy in Round 26 ;-)

Smith has cost us a place in the eight with that shambles of a team he selected. Mullen is not a 7 and playing Gidley in the halves with him in attack don't work either. 30 points to make the eight, that means winning all our remaining games.

Gotta keep believeing we can win the next 3. I mean if we can't beat Melbourne or Brisbane, making the 8 is just prolonging the inevitable isn't it? We can do it and that is the difference between last year and this year. Canberra can win this comp don't worry about that. They are brilliant. They are like the 05 tigers side.
