Maybe they needed the extra time for the back room contract people to sort out what needed to happen cap-wise etc to cover the injury, given we don't seem to want to use Top 30 Loizou (so wouldn't get dispensation for the choice to use anyone else). Better to not have media attention on a surprisingly named 5 until all that's sorted out (i.e. when the squad is trimmed).
