Yeh, very good luck to him. In the end the mindless ratbags (inveitably) won.
Won what??? Jake has gone for a better chance to play first grade. Honestly how much first grade was he going to play here going forward?? Our halves are signed long term and we have another couple of highly rated halves in our system. All this talk about him leaving because of boo’s and mean words is laughable. He’s gone for the good of his career good luck to him. Except when he plays us.

Here we go again, eh ? Groundhog Day. Since when do you EVER see shit like this when a reserve grade player signs with another club ?

#########

Parramatta Eels halfback Mitchell Moses has revealed his frustration with the fans that chose to abuse Jakob Arthur during his time at the club after the 20-year-old completed an immediate switch to Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

Arthur signed with the club until the end of the 2024 season on Monday and will join the full-time squad from Tuesday.

The son of coach Brad Arthur has faced enormous criticism since he rose to the first grade ranks, debuting in 2021

Amidst news the young half was leaving the club, Moses hit out at fans for the treatment.

"I don't think any player should be booed from their own home team ... it's upsetting to see because he's such a great kid and puts so much time into his game," he told media.

"To see people go at him that way, it's pretty sad to see."

From Manly

"Jake comes with great pedigree having played in last year's NRL Grand Final and having come through the Parramatta system as an elite junior.

"This is an opportunity for Jake to experience different coaches, different club environment.”

All I did was wish the kid the best of luck. All you did was use the situation to attack other posters on here. Then twist it all up to make out everyone's an ashol and your a saint.

JA best of luck. You are not needed at our club we have better. No future here.

Boohoo. Careful or they'll call you out for playing the victim.

And now we are deficient one quality backup half. If Moses is unavailable we don’t have a long kicking game.

Brown has shown he is good enough to step up with Moses out. Asi’s best position is 6 as well might be a good chance to show what he can do. I’ll be surprised if we don’t have a replacement for Jake lined up.
Hopefully that Miller-Stephen FB is back soon from his bung shoulder, then Asi would be ready to come back to 3, 4 or 6 anyway.

Different players and expectations.

Matt is a dummy half he only has to make his tackles and give good service like Hands is atm.

If Jake was a backrower or outside back there would have been less pressure.

Being the halfback added another layer of expectation and pressure to an already tough situation.

The great coaches adapt and implement a different game plan to suit the sides strengths.
Sure, but from a week-to-week perspective that is a meaningless throwaway line. Your overall strategic game plan is based on your roster at full strength. This is how you prepare all preseason. Any given tactical (weekly) game plan that deviates too far from the team’s strategy is moving away from the team’s strengths. Every team has limited resources, so they are built and coached to suit a specific play style. The alternative (under a salary cap) is to build a roster that is ‘master of none’.
