It was an impulse buy by a club under pressure after losing its current player.
Which should not have happened we should have resigned Reed before he went to market told him we want him for life and as a club captain.

I think there was more to the Mahoney departure than just money. I got the impression he was pretty governed in what he could do on the field, and I think he wanted to play a bit differently. That probably wasn't going to happen here, our 9's don't do anything more really than pass the ball and tackle.Which should not have happened we should have resigned Reed before he went to market told him we want him for life and as a club captain.

We should've just sat back and waited and thought about what we really needed. Hodgson was never going to be a like-for-like replacement for Mahoney, which is appear what we tried him to be. I'd imagine Hodgson is actually pretty unhappy with no only the way he is playing, but the way that he has to fit into the structure that isn't really suiting him.
He may, it wouldn't surprise me if he returns to the Raiders on their coaching staff when he does retire. If BA thinks he's got a good commute to training, it would be nothing compared to what Hodgson would have if he returned to the Raiders, it would be a few minutes walk.Let's hope Hodgson is unhappy and leaves...
On Reed it's weird we had Ennis as an assistant so you think the hooker role would have been a real focus..
The way Ennis carrys on in commentary Id suggest his time as an Eel wasnt his happiest association ever.Let's hope Hodgson is unhappy and leaves...

Hodgo lives about 5 mins from Kellyville. He may, it wouldn't surprise me if he returns to the Raiders on their coaching staff when he does retire. He seemed almost gleeful last night, yet another who has worked with Stubborn Sir Baldalot who didn’t feel the love. The way Ennis carrys on in commentary Id suggest his time as an Eel wasnt his happiest association ever.
I wonder if Blonde Nrown will dump us for The Drags? He seemed almost gleeful last night, yet another who has worked with Stubborn Sir Baldalot who didn’t feel the love.
Probably bring in Mommamia.Morretti a solid game again.
Matalele 190mtrs. Plenty of PCMs
This is good. They are two guys who may have a future. It's time to think about blooding them.
Lanes out next week. Do we blood Morretti? Put Matto to 2nd row?
You sure you’re not reading too much into it ?The way Ennis carrys on in commentary Id suggest his time as an Eel wasnt his happiest association ever.
As you know Hindy, BA will make minimal changes, particlulary after saying he though the team played well. However he will need to bring someone up. I imagine it will be Doorey.Morretti a solid game again.

Except those hours he has to spend preparing the reserve grade team nobody gives a f**k about. Not real useful to the big money NRL side.I was being sly meaning for head coach..
But the NSWCup coach can also be an assistant coach for the NRL.
All either expensive or shit. We need a mid range dummy half who doesn’t need to carry the ball a dozen times to give his money’s worth.Marshall-King, Verrils and Api signed with different clubs after we signed Hodgson. There was also a few others, including Brandon Smith but he was probably a bit unrealistic an option, and in fairness to Api he probably defeated the purpose of not signing Mahoney, as he would've cost a bit. Although, incidentally he was a second choice after the deal with Tigpies deal with Hodgson fell through. Danny Levi was another that changed clubs.
If we were the type of club that didn’t have a plan B for a given top 17 retention we would never have made the grand final. Hodgson would have been identified as plan B long before Mahoney made his decision. It was an impulse buy by a club under pressure after losing its current player.
