The first two tries were the result of quick hands and drawing the man. Am not giving the assist to any one of the three involved.

LKT does not look a natural full back, was at sea a bit, more clinical when he plays closer to the ruck. Defense needs work.
So they were un-assisted tries? Especially the last pass for the first two tries being a face-ball across the centre to a winger in space. And the third being a short ball to the centre in space... ie exactly what you want a full back to do, nail 3 on 2's.

I guess Darius Boyd played in 2009-2011 without contributing much in the way of try assists to BMoz or Coops.

I agree he doesn't look a natural fullback, especially in defence. But his ability to put his outside men into space on both sides of the ruck is something that should be leaned into. I see him as a 6 and am unsure why he was played at fullback, but it is nice to build KMs and versatility into the squad.

the good thing is they found a way to get LKT into games and developing faster.. whether he ends up at fullback longterm or not, and probaby not, but it wont hurt him.

Marshke might not be back next week either.. so I guess they could go either way.. there is so much fitness and defensive stuff to learn for longterm fullbacks, but at this stage until Rumble moves up, its really a fill-in position.

Matt Feagai however, AC injury is that season or?

AC joint thankfully ain't too bad usually depending on the severity. Rarely needs surgery I think

Felt bad for Mat. Was our best before he came off. He was out for blood that game haha

JF really need a win this round or they will plummet down the ladder. Will be a tough one against Roosters. Still my opinion that this side should be going way better than what it is. Last weeks loss really hurt against the bunnies.

Ai, JF have lost so many games they should have won (NSW Cup also but they going better now), JF has so many guns in it.. and run around by Ward who I think we are looking at as a halves prospect.. great pack.. should be going way better..

LKT playing fullback again

Guessing this is to avoid having big forwards running at him

Gives him a chance to develop his attacking skills

Has an excellent passing game

May assist fast tracking him into the first grade side in 2026
I think it's a good part of every young player's development to play different positions in the lower grades and get an understanding of what each position requires from the rest of the team. But I feel moving LKT is more to do with getting Nu Brown reps in the halves in our systems before next round, not looking like Marchske will play with that hamstring. LKT developing and getting time in new positions is just an added bonus of that situation I think

Tamale has signed elsewhere and tbh despite looking good from fullback it didnt seem to turn into points.... so his role for 2024 is wherever we have a gap.

But LKT's move to fullback (last week) was to get Marshke back into the team, but then that hamstring got re-injured and he could be back next week.. but it would be a gamble to play him in first grade... so its a good call from Parko that Brown might be the fill-in next week during origin.

Going to have to watch NSW Cup on replay tonight, but its on Foxtel/KAYO from 11.30am.

Jack Bird into fullback will be intriguing.. LKT back to 6.

No Brown I find strange, I thought he was practicing to be our 6 next week when Hunt is gone?
