2 - Jarrod Mullen - showed he is ready for regular firstgrade starting 5/8
2 - Kurt Gidley - played great at 5/8, centre and fullback all in one game.
1 - Carney - does what a winger has to do - finds the tryline
1 - Johns - kept the whole show on the road

3 - Brian Carney. Scored a stellar hat-trick and showed why he's arguably the buy of the season
2 - Jarrod Mullen. His injection really turned things around after a sh*thouse opening stanza from the side
1 - Luke Davico. His finest game in the red and blue.

Honourable mentions - Johns, Gidley, Smith

2. Carney - scored 3, made plenty of metres. Also loved the fact that he gets to the opposite side of the field to take a hit-up. Good wingers go looking for work.
2. Johns- Great kicking game, kept us in control.
1. Lowrie - Did well in the absence of Simpson & Newton. Looked dangerous every time he had the ball.
1. Tanner - Was everywhere in defence, and lots of good contact. Good workhorse game, which we needed in those consitions.

Unlucky:

Mullen - Best game i've seen him play in top grade.
Reynoldson - Tried hard
Midley & Kidley - Excellent game by both in attack. They were responsible for both Canberra's tries with bad read's though.
Tighe - Impressive

Good tough effort by the whole side really.

2. Smith -- has become the leader of the pack. Sure he made a couple of mistakes, but he is performing exceptionally well for the veteran of the team. Another 9/10 effort.
2. Mullen -- one of his best games, for the simple fact he was able to work his own things. A couple of kicks into the in-goal giving us repeat sets weren't bad at all... they were smart options. Probably most pleasing is that Johns, Kurt and Mullen all had the opportunity to direct things wherever they wanted to. Johns would try one side of the field but be unable to penetrate the line, so the ball would get to Mullen or Kurt over the other side where they would try something. It worked well.
1. Woolnough -- one of his best games of the season I thought. Solid effort.
1. Johns -- he made things happen, without being his dominating self. Still a fine performance.

Carney misses out for the simple fact that he didn't actually have to do all that much for his three tries -- I think some of his best games have been when he hasn't scored many.
