Would all the Mann haters just F off.
Never been given a chance to be a regular starter in three years.
All credit to him for playing well every time he is selected in many positions.
He must leave the club if dopey is still in charge.
Hope to bump into dopey one day and discuss this subject.

Not sure there are any haters - more like doubters.

Have to admit I’m one of them. But I’m hoping he takes this opportunity and causes a selection headache.

In defence of Mann not having a permanent position or a starting spot, does anyone see it as a positive thing that he is quickly turning in to one of the most, if not the most, versatile player in the game. Utility players are a dying breed but are worth their weight in gold. Completely justifies him starting on the bench.
I disagree with your last sentence. I think Mann should have been starting ahead of Aitken or Nightingale and probably Lafai too. I don't agree with him coming on, replacing Debelin and playing lock. He is not a forward.

About 2 or 3 weeks ago, I said that we had to straighten up our attack. Is Mann doing that for us? Lets see over the next 2 weeks or so.

Marys go to go!

Just watching the game again and noticed that when Hunt came back on the field, Mann got pushed back to into the second row.

Now you would think that Hunt and Field spending as much time playing together until Widdop comes back would be the best plan. Not our Mary, Field plays 5/8.

Clearly he has no strategic bone in his body.

The only problem with that is that we then miss out on having someone who can play everywhere except front row for us. What makes you think he is not a forward?

I dont get this comment. I dont judge it from scrums, anyone packs in there. How do you know Mann was playing 2nd row, I thought Field come off when Hunt went back on with another forward after sin bin. I saw Mann doing a lot of 5/8th stuff most of the game on the left hand side..and an occassional hit up as he likes doing.... and Hunt playing on the right hand side.
Mann says he doesn't mind back row anyway. He is our version of the Roosters Mitch Aubo

I think the issue is more to do with the defensive work. He said recently that playing in the forwards is difficult because of his size - tackling bigger players means he uses up more energy in a tackle than a bigger man.

He would really have to put on a good 10kg to be effective.

He said he actually did for 1 or 2 games, had to put on 4-5 kgs before game day eating Chickos all week to the jealousy of his team mates. had to lose it again to play back in the halves. Sounds a bit stupid to me what they are doing with him.
But back to Resurgences agrument I dont understand his gripe relative to the Tigers game as I did not see Hunt, Field and Mann on the field at the same time..I could be wrong but if so it was a short time.

When Hunt came back on the field, Mann became a line runner along side Luc and Hunt and Field took first and second touches off the ruck.

Field did come off with a couple of minutes to go and Mann reverted to 5/8.

Seems to me that the Latken apologists often ( although not nontime) line up behind Mc Joined At The Hips To My Centre Darlings?
Fittler's opinion is more informed than mine, and the apologists may well look a little foolish in the future, for keeping a Gasnier in the wings when he might have got us to the Grandfinal this year - you know, cashing in on forward dominance with speedy, attacking backs with Xfactor & all round skills FFS

I think Mann's best position if 5/8. He can also play wing, centre or fullback, but I think we can do better than Mann in those positions. I think Mann is back and not a forward. His size and skill set makes me think that his is not a forward.

you don't want to keep him as a back up hooker for aitken?
