I predicted the media coverage would come and here it is. Many of us have been calling for him to dropped for well over a month. He has been horribly out of form for such a key position and there was no such persistence with Ilias.

Reckon coach is too stubborn to make it happen, we might scrape a win against an average team and it will save him and coach...all too predictable.

Standards. I always say it. Standards.
Can see this happening. We will beat a decimated eels outfit and its resume normal transmission

That would follow the pattern since the premiership.
Coaches and team resting on their laurels. Same damn patterns that lead us nowhere. Same people retain their jobs. They're content with their pay and status, and we are left wanting so much more.
Well over a decade now...I mean we've been patient.

Like Gutho and JDB. Can see they really want to win ALL THE TIME. They must get lonely.

Anyone see the article overnight of Flanno saying Kyle has been one of our best and slamming his critics? 🤣 He is really that delusional we are deadset cooked. Why did we hire this idiot honestly. Same idiot who called Robbo when he dropped Kyle to have a whinge. Absolute flog enoughs enough he is all talk and no action. Can't wait until he is gone, absolute joke of a head coach.

Yeah wow.. I'm afraid Shane may need to go, there is no way he can possibly think Kyle's been one of our best. If he does somehow believe it then Kyle won't be going anywhere and will have a free pass into the 17 for as long as Flano's here. He's chosen the wrong thing to be stubborn about here and it will cost him his job and entire coaching career.

He has just put the target on himself and Kyle big time. They will be scrutinized 10x more now and we seen how Kyle handled the criticism at the Dogs.

Seems to be a very orchestrated campaign by a small minority in here to get rid of Flano
I don't want him gone at all, want nothing more than for it to work out. However, I said when Flano was appointed if Kyle is the hill he chooses to die on he'll lose my support. It is becoming clearer and clearer that he will not get rid of Kyle.

Fogarty was available for under value but we weren't in the market for halves. This came after Kyle's premature extension before a ball was kicked this season. Halves that have come on the market since include the likes of Fogarty (who I believe would have been the perfect fit at halfback for our side), Galvin, Sexton, DCE.. all players we were ruled out of the race for because we don't have roster spots for another half according to Flano himself, and all better than Kyle.

We are now watching Kyle put in terrible performances week in, week out, yet we're being told he's one of our best players despite it being abundantly clear he is no where near our best. Rather, one of, if not our worst. My belief is that a 17 that has Kyle Flanagan in it will never be good enough to win it all. That is personally where I want to see us, winning comps, around the top 4. I want us to be ambitious. The fact that I don't believe a team with Kyle in it can do anything of note, coupled with the appearance that Shane does not have it in him to drop/get rid of Kyle means we will not get to this place. That would mean that in order to get the results, someone has to go. Whilst Shane is here that seemingly won't be Kyle, meaning unfortunately Shane might have to be removed. Right now you could argue we don't have a better option to bring in over Kyle. However, my concern is that there are no attempts being made to bring anyone in over the top of Kyle.

If I was the GM, or on the board, or the new CEO, I would give Shane every chance by telling him we want to keep you, but Kyle cannot be here. If he kicks up a stink about it, then he will have to go. But we will not succeed with Kyle in the side, and unfortunately that is why Shane may have to go. The hard conversation needs to be had, because realistically it's just being delayed. Kyle and Shane can't work together, simple.

All very valid points but should Shane go we’ll sure as he’ll be stuck with Dean which isn’t an improvement.

Realistically looking at the season so far Kyle hasn’t had too many challenges for being one of our “better” players really.
I’m not sticking up for him but not many others have been putting their hands up which is sad.
Give Glover or Reed a go or, recruit a solid first grade halfback. Then judge.
