Really felt for Epanyol here... Xavi fell over but somehow the ref thinks he was pushed. The player was not in a position to push Xavi... as he was in front of him not behind. Xavi fell over (he did not dive), so the referee has got this completely wrong. I am a Barca fan but I really do feel for Espanyol. The team is one of our greatest rivals as they are the other La Liga team based in Barcelona (yes there are 2 Barcelona teams in the comp... local rivals). I feel rather empty after this win :(

Gutsy away win by Sevilla with 5 injured players out and Louis Fabiano out suspended and Antonio carried off after 20 minutes.

Great test of depth.

I recorded both Sevilla and Milan and the Milan game was far too depressing to watch all of it.

This whole Atletico thing of conceding critical late goals is really starting to wear on me. Conceded a goal in the 90th minute to lose 2-1 to Villareal.

watching Real v Zaragoza on espn, Real 4-0 up after 35 min!

Ended up being 6-0. Seems to be a typical Real performance. They have the potential to break down sides and dominate, problem is that they still haven't clicked defensively as a unit. I'm not just talking defenders, there have been times when midfielders and even certain attackers have, at times, let the side down defensively.

They are too hot and cold for my liking, but I'm sure that's something that will improve as the players get more time to gel with each other.

Respect to David Villa, who is atm the top goal scorer in La Liga wth 12 goals in 13 games.

Wonderful stiker who is undoubtetly the top marksmen in Spain now that Eto'o is plying his trade in Italy.

Villareal seem to have fought back after a shocking start to their season.

Are at 9th atm, but you'd expect that go up.

Will be hard to crack Barcelona, Real, Sevilla, Valencia group. To me those teams are the ones that will get the CL spots at the end of the season. Would be happy to see Valencia get some of those CL riches though. They could use it after last seasons debacle.

Mate, I must say that regardless of how talented he is, that is a pretty big call!

I can't see Villareal cracking the Top 4 teams group, but I can see them rising from 9th. Still plenty of time in the season to go.
