he isn't the biggest hitter in the game however for a prop he runs faster then many backs.....he has played SOO & tests for Australia, he must be doing something right.

That is only because he is hiding out in the backs whilst the rest of your fowards are covering for him.I scratch my head now as I did then about how he made it to rep level,I suppose it shows how good he is by not being there since that season.

and they can all say

Read it again Ron the important word there is THEY.

Hodgson was dropped for 1 week due to an injury preventing him from playing to his potential....he was a big loss for us this year as he provided alot of spark from the back

Have you been to the Brian Smith school of excuses....He wasn't injured he was in poor form(acording to Brian) and it was ment as a shake up.

Dykes returned to form in the latter part of the year with 2 magnificent games in a row.

2 games in a season, baring injury still not up to scratch,If you really think about it that was after Hindmarsh came back anbd the whole team started to play to their potential,so the forwards(besides Vella)were going forward so even willie peters would have looked good in the halves.

Ferris and Walker might have even played well behind that pack. Luke Dorn even......

If you guys want to start on soft forwards - Hopoate lead your team in hit ups and metres gained and he is a winger? You also conceded an average 33 points per game with 14 men in your defensive line.

Swoop you seriously need a new angle other than "CHOKERS" as its been done to death - even our own supporters do that!

How but we all guess who Smith can blame for their losses next year.I will start off with a couple of easy ones.

1.He's usual-"the ref"
2.$4mil is not enough to buy a decent support staff.
3.The draw,we only play 95% of our games in Sydney
4.Wayne Bennet(even if he is not playing the Bronco's)
5.Our Horrific injury toll,no other club cops it as bad as us poor eels.(thanks Ron)
6.The new crappy logo that looks like a Coathanger, the players can't concentrate.

Add to the list at will.

Another that doesn't read posts and makes a fool of themselves,it must be a parra trait.
All players are no longer at the club and my whole argument with you slippery buggers is based on us improving because of this cleanout...You guys make this easy but boring.

Once again see top comment,by the way Hoppa is moving to the forwards next season and most manly fans wanted to see it happen this season....so you struck out again.

Hoppa wasn't a forward this year though was he - Manly fans want lots of things but its a shame they don't get them hey.....

Yes Dorn, Ferris and Walker have all been cut by the club however they were still there in 2003. As Parramatta will be fielding a different pack this year with Vella likely to be in first division you struck out too huh?

You can't come in half way through a debate and say "we will have a different pack too" and say I struck out....c'mon mate get it together.

Also Vella was never in your pack....yes he was on the field but I wouldn't call him a forward.Have you ever wondered if vella played like a forward the other guys might not have got injured because they were to busy doing hs job as well.

The only Parra players who generally run at the backs are Widders, Hindmarsh & Hopkins...the role of a prop is not to run on the 3rd or 4th tackle outwide there designed to take the ball up 1st & 2nd hit up which Vella always done & done well, Vella at his best running hard is one of the hardest men to stop & very succesfull at breaking the line....unfortunately he had many injuries which really limited his performances hence no SOO.

Have you been to the Brian Smith school of excuses....He wasn't injured he was in poor form(acording to Brian) and it was ment as a shake up.

He was not fully fit at the time!! so generally his performances where not up to scatch so he was dropped for one week to help him get back into some sort of rythem!, you may be thinking of Vaealiki who was dropped for a few weeks due to not playing well....he came back bigger & better though & was one of Parra's best in many games later in the year but Hodgson was definately not 100%

I wasn't saying he was running at the backs,I was saying he was hiding out in the backs, big difference.Ron just taking the piss really,he does ruck it up and when he feels like it can ruck it with the best of them but for a bloke his size and that has so many wraps on him doesn't do it anywhere often enough.I feel sorry for blokes like cayless because for the size of him he has a heart twice the size of Vella.
