I just got back from the AGM and i am disgusted at the lack of transparency by the board. 8 questions from the floor and the majority of them very wasteful. Usual stuff you would expect from an underperforming the coach and the same stuff thats been said all season. Its with absolute disgrace that I tell my son we are going to watch his mighty beloved Parramatta Eels play these days. The drive home is no easier.

will did you tell the idiots that asked wasteful questions to f**k off and wanker as he was talking? i would, would've thrown a chair at the prick.

Punter: Mr Kearney I have a question.

MC: Go on.

Punter: Mr Kearney why are you so shit?

8 questions sounds like too few, but the board is to blame for wasteful questions as well now?

It's a lot easier to get rid of players in the NFL.

it is also a lot harder to win when you haven't done shit for years - Bills, Browns, Bengals, Dolphins.

Also Harbaugh didn't make sweeping changes, he got rid of Clements who was their best CB, turned Alex Smith from a sure bust into a gem - all in an offseason.

From all reports it sounds like it was a complete waste of time for those that attended.

Because they expected to be allowed to form a lynch mob?

Do you think the prime minister should be forced to sit and listen to a gang of disgruntled voters hurl abuse at her disguised as questions?

You can't please everyone.

Every f**king question is a variation on at most eight recurring themes.

If there was more than eight questions they would all just end up being repeated, like they do here.

Well it was frustrating to say the least. Yes there is only so many questions you can ask before it gets repetitive but a majority of the questions were not even related to the performance of the NRL team, There were questions like how come the players dont wave to the fans after the games and are the board going to get the great players from the 80's more involved.

They spent almost a good hour talking about the finance's of the club which I know they obviously need to do but the main reason everyone was there was talked about for five minutes. Then when the tough questions were asked they ignored the questions.

Just home from my first Parra Leagues AGM and I must say the best thing about the night was the free beverage tickets.
I suppose its a case of damned if you do and damned if you dont but with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, who ever made the call to have the whole NRL team attend and stand up in front of everyone like they were schoolboys in detention was a goose. It was absolutely embarassing for anyone with half an idea.
People telling Kearney how to run his attack were totally out of order and turned the meeting into a joke.
If the reasons for their attendance was to embarass the players into performing better then Im sure it failed miserably. When asked if the players wanted to stay or leave at the conclusion of the footy chat Hindy led the charge out the door.
I must say I wasnt too impressed by what I saw and heard from The Board but then again I was desperate for a coffee so who the hell knows.
Nolan on the other hand sounded like he knew what he was doing. Kearney sounded genuine but he isnt an inspiration to listen to. Hindy, in my opinion, wasnt a happy camper.

That was another of the 8 questions. Somebody telling Kearney how he should have the team attack. Even Kearney joked at it asking if his name was Jason Taylor.

TBH sounds like a farce .... there was never anything to be gained by having all the players there, its just a stunt ... sure have a few senior players there and hte coaching staff, but anything else is just dumb

So SK says he has 100% responsibility for the poor start - OK, so what does that mean? He'll fall on his sword and want no payout if he can't turn it around? By when? .... Or is it just bullshit talk? Tell em what they want to hear to shut em up.

I don't believe in sacking him right now - give him at least the year ... but if anyone mentions extensions again they need to be publicly flogged in church st mall

If they give him the year all that will is result in once again searching for a coach in the off season, and then having that coach have no say in recruitment for next year. The board need to act swiftly so we can at least move forward in 2013 and get someone in who has time to prepare.

Brian Smith achieved a semis appearance after the Eels were in the wilderness for 10 years and he did it in his first year.In total he missed the semis only twice in 10 years. Yet people (including me) used to complain about him. How stupid I was. This board and Kearney are drowning so badly that it isn't even funny anymore.

I remember saying whilst Brian Smith was still at the Club that it was time for him to move on. Im embarrassed to even admit that was my opinion at the time. How wrong could I have been
