I heard 10k were free tickets and they couldn't give em away - anyway it's merge v dogs so what do you expect

What do we expect? Well given the fact atht what you call Merge and Dogs are the two best supported clubs in NSW what we expect is a big crowd which is what we got. 34,000 for a Sydney clash is a historically high attendance.

Sounds to me like a lol@50uff$ fan jealous his team rarely, if ever, draws such big crowds.

Average home crowds:

Bulldogs - 4 home games - Agg 107,134 - Ave 26,784

Souths - 4 home games - Agg 68,413 - Ave 17,103

Thank you, come again.

EDIT: Now awaiting a response about how Dragons are "st merge" and the Bulldogs have violent fans :sleeper:

I'm happy to write to your club to confirm they've never issued complimentary tickets and send you the response.

Every club organises complimentary tickets for one reason or another.

As for free memberships, source? We have cheap memberships (and close to the same amount of ticketed members as your club) but we don't give them away for free to the best of my knowledge.

Very disappointing crowd given the circumstances, surprising figure though given previous crowds at the same ground, looked to be more than 37k but not more than 41 or 42k IMO, I thought 38k.

Anything over 30k in Sydney is good but as someone said earlier, missed opportunity.

Had it been Sunday arvo, could've easily made 50k I reckon. No Rieu to contend with either.

enough of this sunday arvo cr@p.. or anything ova 30K is good
its not

this game last year.. played on a Friday Night ... drew more then last night .. with no promotion or cheap GA tickets

theres been Parra games at ANZ against the Bulldogs that have drawn as well as last night .. on Friday nights.. with no hype like last nights

hell 31K turned out in pouring rain at the SCG to watch these same 2 teams .. last night was a fine night .. weather was great

no... last nights crowd was horrid under the circumstances
40K was a pass mark

a big F for last nights attendance

There wouldn't of been more then about 5-7k dragon fans but the same could be said bout the dogs fans at the scg earlier this year, I was disappointed but still a decent crowd and shows how far we have come that we are bagging out a crowd of over 34k.

My mates that sat with the dragon army said it was just dragons fans and it looked like that from where I was, I wonder if people did use that number

It was a Dogs fan who started on a Dragons fan. I was right near it.

Couldn't believe both the idiots were going at each other.
There was dad with a little baby right next to them who had to move up to the backrow to be safe.

The security was pathetic, just stood and watched.

Did they fly in Suncorp Stadium security for the night ?

It is not. Bad or pathetic crowd by any means. Sure it could have been higher, but it shows how far we have come over the last few years that 34k is considered a tad dissapointing by some!

I understand where you're coming from but the only way to show how far league attendances have come is by achieving those big figures! not by crowd projections!

And the NSW state union team got 17k last week.

Brumbies are around 13-14k.

Bumper times for union in oz.

Reds are doing it right but the rest of the 4 other S15 aussie teams are not.
Rather see 30000 for Reds Union then for f**kin AFL and Soccer.
