Great crowd, no other Sydney team could of pulled that.

Disappointing that Dragons fans were provoking bulldogs fans all night. Even on the trains after.

Disappointed by the crowd (Isn't it a good thing though that 34K is disappointing)!!! I have to say it, but did St George supporters know there team was playing last night? Dead set would've been lucky to have been 6 thousand St George supporters... I guess though at the SCG last time not to many Bulldogs supporters turned up (About the same IMO). I seriously thought St George would bring at least 15K last night (Considering the discounted tickets there members were offered, unlike Bulldogs at the SCG), if they did 40K would've been reached!

Agree on everything.

Population doesn't enter into it when you have a MONOPOLY on the support. There are no competing NRL clubs in Canberra.

So everybody in Canberra supports the raiders?

Bullshit, the raiders do not have an monopoly in Canberra.

Our numbers were down last night (Saints fans), I know of quite a few who stayed away due to the fact it was a Dogs home game.

Pathetic, particularly because every fight I saw was started by an dragons supporter

I think next year the NRL needs to put the Dogs/Dragons games a bit further apart, one in heritage round and then the other in round 20 or so leading into the finals.

Wouldn't work if one team is out of the finals race tho.

Except for the Roosters a couple of weeks ago..

Did they? Which normal home game for the roosters got over 30k? The only I was aware of was the transitional ANZAC day game.

Comparing a traditional match to an ordinary home game is a bit rich.

There was only 1 fight the whole game? Keep dreaming. I saw at least 3.

I pay attention to the game itself not fights in the crowd. For this fact alone I had dragons fans wanting to start something as I was trying to watch the game.

BDGS - next to quote in the bottom left corner - this button multi-quotes. Use it. Your current way of doing things is stupid and is very close to message bombing.

Just saying.

Now responding to the Canberra monopoly reply - if you don't understand the concept of Canberra having a monopoly then you need your head read. There are no NRL teams within the immediate area providing competition to the Raiders for support.

Of course supporters in Canberra will support other clubs as happens everywhere, noone is stupid enough to deny that.

1. Currently I'm in capable using the multiple quote button due to it not working.

2. They also have to compete with the brumbies. However, going by that the Definition of monopoly which is the incorrect one, the dragons also have 2 monopolies in their areas.

Do you understand what an NRL club is, or do you just not read?

You didn't say an NRL monopoly, you just said that they have a monopoly.

If you wanted to restrict it Like that then Maccas have an American fast food with clown mascot monolpy. It's a ridiclous statement. Of course other factors come to play particularly talking about populations and support.

If you are going to use the population figure you must Bring in outside effects on the business. If you were going to use the figure for total raiders supporters in Canberra and surrounding areas that would be different. But you are talking about the full population of Canberra and saying the raiders have an monopoly which is bullshit.

You were saying?

My apologises, must of skipped over that.

However, I think the crowds for the Dragons are a little below par, would love nothing more for them to prove me wrong over the course of the season though.

The Crowd was disappointing... the TV ratings were pretty ordinary as well.

i am so confused, it was a perfect night, good game , well supported teams.

Friday 13th maybe

Yeah that happens every game,.

Only fight in the crowd all night was provoked by Dragins fans on the far side.

No.
I saw 4 fights last night, 2 of which were brawls involving only Bulldogs fans. The other was when 6 Bulldogs fans went at one Dragons fan.
I saw this 1st hand as did several others in the Dragons forums.

And for the fight you refer to in The Dragons area, a Bulldogs fan sat in among the Dragons army, and didn't enjoy the banter he was copping.

Nice try. You stated you saw one fight, which was on the far side of the field from you (assuming you are referring to the one right near where I was, which was started by a Dogs fan).
