Honest answers only please.

What do you think should be our realistic goals this season?

Just making the 8 or is a premiership realistic?

Can Raper turn the cards that quickly?

What effect is the whole Ando saga going to have on the on field results?

Is this squad our best in years or are we just over exaggerating our talent?

and finally . . . can Noddy hold his form without Ando?

What do you think should be our realistic goals this season?

Just making the 8 or is a premiership realistic? It's possible but it would be a big upset.

Can Raper turn the cards that quickly? He has the squad IMO, but we will have to wait and see I think.

What effect is the whole Ando saga going to have on the on field results? I think it will take a back seat and the players won't worry about it.

Is this squad our best in years or are we just over exaggerating our talent? It is a great squad, if all the mail is good, then we will go places with this lot.

and finally . . . can Noddy hold his form without Ando? I don't know. So much depends on this. He was shocking at Manly (N'thn Eag's) so I just don't know. One thing in his favour is the giant forward pack and fast backline he has at his disposal.

Just making the 8 or is a premiership realistic? Just making the 8

Can Raper turn the cards that quickly? Yes

What effect is the whole Ando saga going to have on the on field results? Not much once the team starts winning and gains confidence!

Is this squad our best in years or are we just over exaggerating our talent? Over exaggerated a little

and finally . . . can Noddy hold his form without Ando? I hope he can, otherwise we may be a spot of bother!

I am simply hoping for a top 8 finish and we will see what happens from there. Hopefully Noddy can play well this year and i have all confidence that he will, but yeah, anything less than a top 8 finish would be disappointing.

I am a warriors supporter with a soft spot for the Sharks

Making the eight is going to be an uphill battle. You are in the ever-popular 'rebuilding phase', and the political cloud that enveloped the club while Anderson was causing drama will take a year of two too clear IMO

The Panthers did it, true, but in retrospect, that fairytale was more likely. Lang had settled in, and they definitely had the right mix to do it.

Its a great squad, but I think that, again, there's a couple of players that are at least a season away from blossoming. Kimmorley is a class halfback, and having Vagana running off him will bolster your chances. I think he might adjust, but we'll have to see how Raper manages him.

Nutley and Beattie should be your frontline props. Nutley needs to play week in, week out and he's the best prop at your club. As much as I like Jason Stevens, he's injury prone and I think that not promoting Nutley has meant you've been caugh short a couple of times. Playing Nutley in the second row has made your backrowers a bit green as well. (again, this is observing from a distance)

What you need this year is stability...top eight is incredibly feasible, and it will be an achievement.

Premiership, not so sure if you have any more of a chance than the other half a dozen 2003 fringe teams

What do you think should be our realistic goals this season? Making the top 6

Just making the 8 or is a premiership realistic? Just the 8 for now and as high as we can.

Can Raper turn the cards that quickly? With the squad he has he better be able too.

What effect is the whole Ando saga going to have on the on field results? None.

Is this squad our best in years or are we just over exaggerating our talent? Better than the 2002 squad IMO. But we can't say this till we see the on the park

and finally . . . can Noddy hold his form without Ando? Yes. At the NE he had a shit team to work with. Now he has Vagana, 3 rep front rowers and a hardworking backrow.

Im still worried that the Anderson stuff still has happened(court). If it comes out at the start of the season , then jeez what a mess.
But.,.,..,
If we can get off to a good start and no major injuries I think a semi spot is something to aim for. Anything higher is a big bonus. 8)

Top 4

No effect

Noddy will shine with the confidence of the tour behind him

Its a great squad

Answer me this the yr b4 last we almost made the grand final - is this squad as good as that squad ? yes it is

there were a lot of reasons for last yr and there was some bad luck and some style of play issues. I think u guys are all under estimating this team ..

An improvement on last year, a hint of potential, of future promise, is all I'm asking for. More positives, less drama. Top 8 would be a good result, in Raper's first year.

I think we finished 10th in Lang's first year. There were promising signs that we were on the improve, mainly all the classy juniors coming through from the Presidents Cup side. We have that situation again with the likes of Aitken, Simmons, Galloway, Newton, and co.

With our pack of forwards (courtesy CA) anything is possible. If they dominate which I think they will and give Kimmoley and our new backline some good ball then it could be a Sharks try fest season. This rebuilding talk is a bit overdone. We have a very competitive team now which will not take long to build into a formidable outfit. Bring it on.

We can go top 4. Anything can happen in the finals

Can Raper turn the cards that quickly?
Yes

What effect is the whole Ando saga going to have on the on field results?
Nutley is a potential worry, as is Bailey to a lesser extent. Otherwise everything seems pretty positive

Is this squad our best in years or are we just over exaggerating our talent?
Id say its as good as the 2002 squad. By the finals it'll be better

and finally . . . can Noddy hold his form without Ando?
Yes. He did nothing at the Eagles because their pack was sh*t. Thats not the case here.

Roll on Round 1!!

Your Kidding ain’t you!!?

Did he Bring Stevens to the Club? What about Beattie? Bails played in the Centers last year and the rest are coming through the Juniors. Nutley, who brought him to the club? it might have been CA...

He also got rid of the best Hooker and Clubman in the comp, in Triester and a damn good lock in Graham... PFFFTTT!! to CA, good riddance to the Nuffy, I say!!

I think we are definatley top 8 material this year, inspite of CA. Maybe even top 4 if BK doesn't get the sulks and plays like he has for the past 2 years...

they've dogged it the past two years - i'm hoping they excel this year

graham would be washed up now anyways

now we've got lomu, gallen, nutley, bailey, hilder, galloway etc
ie. a platform to build upon

Hilder, galloway, gallen etc are ALL juniors, not CA imports. Like I said, Bails played in the centers, so shouldn't be considered as a forward, although I'm sure thats where he will play this year... No doubt he brought Lomu here, but what did he really do last year?

That leaves Nutley. Who did bring him down from QLD? I cant remember if it was Lang or CA...

No one brought him down from queensland mate, we got him from warrington in SL, from memory I think anderson had hand in it because he said he liked the look of him b4 we signed him.
I remember saying he was better suited to the second row but in retrospect I think he's more of an 80's kind of second rower.

I'm still looking for a premiership. Anderson said he'd deliver it in 3. This is the 3rd. Raper's now holding the bag and I'm looking to him to deliver.

Exactly Popper. We need to get on with it. The Ando arguments should be dead and buried.

What a stupid thing for Chris Anderson to say. No wonder he was beheaded....he put his own head on the block.

I don't think it was a stupid thing to say. He believed he could do it, so did I. There is nothing wrong with confidence. You have to dream it to realise it.
