Ok, for hindy111's eyes only..........

I'm a builder. I like working outdoors. As I get older, it gets harder. (The building that is).
I like cold and extreme weather, sport and watching tv. I spend a lot of my free time watching Foxtel.
I have 2 very sporty kids - one of each gender. They are both quite talented.

I'm lazy at times.
I like reading people's opinions on the internet on the various area's of interest that I have, and commenting as I feel. In other words, I like forums like this. It is where I go to get away from the world.
Was brought up a Labor voter, but swing these days. I don't suffer fools lightly........and I deal with plenty of those on a daily basis in all walks of life........including this place.
I like VB.
I like nearly all types of music, from 19th century classical to some of my kids tastes, and plenty of everything in between. For example - one of the top 10 songs of all times is the 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky. Another is Stairway to Heaven. I know they're pops, but I'm not trying to be clever. They were songs that changed an era.

I love cooking, and I'm a damn good cook. It probably should have been my first profession.

I love skiing. I love spending time in the Snowy Mountains.
I love geography. I love meteorology. I love photography. I love architecture. I love stadium architecture. I love quiz's. I love bush walking and bike riding. I particular love driving, through scenic countryside, and I also particularly love travel, and exploring culture. I love flying, but hate it at the same time.
I love reading the paper everyday, but I refuse to read it online. I prefer to buy it.
I love sporting atmosphere.

The thing I hate most though, is whingers, the media (in general) and dishonest and pretentious humans.

I like to treat humans as I would expect them to treat me.

Born in Sydney, live in Brisbane.

Have an Engineering Degree but currently find myself working in the policy and government relations space.

Married with no kids.

Live with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks who I think might be gay.

Have a real problem with people who wear baseball caps backwards.

Addicted to golf again after stopping for 15 years (it is one of the reasons I haven't posted as much in the last 12 months, the other being the eels give me the squirts).

Drink way more craft beer than I really should.

Used an electric shaver on my ball bag once and nearly sliced my beans open.

Would like to watch more movies, particularly so called 'classics' but find myself not having the patience to sit down for that long.

That is all I can think of...

Grew up in Carramar, Cabramatta and Fairfield. Started supporting the Eels in 1977. Cried my eyes out when Cronin missed the goal when Ed Sukowitz crashed over to make it 9 all.

Was an only child until I was 12. Have a brother who used to play League with Ron Jeremy (the guy who posts here, not the Porno Actor). Spent many days hanging around Carrawood Park which was the home ground of Fairfield Pats. There used to be a tunnel under the first field which was pitch black in the middle and went for 200 odd metres. You were not tough unless you went through it on your own.

I went to High School in a Bulldogs dominant area. However it was great as it was during all our GF wins from our first when I was in Year 7 until our last when I left in Year 12. In Year 11 I nearly was killed in a car accident. I was a pedestrian and got hit by an Italian try hard alfonzo driving an Alfa Romeo. I sued his arse received a payout and bought my first property. I have been obsessed with property ever since.

I have a great job but do not wish to talk about it. Been doing it for over 20 years. I'm married with 2 beautiful grounded kids. Daughter is 17 and son 13. My wife is a bombshell, is bright and humble. I am lucky to have her. I wouldn't swap her for anyone. I live in the Sutherland Shire. The real part near the beach and bay not Engadine.

I relax by watching TV. This new renaissance of American drama series I enjoy. Stuff like The Wire, Ray Donovan etc. I love horror movies but not slap stick monster shit. I attend the gym frequently and stay fit. I love to travel but am a nervous flyer. It must be about control. I need to be in control to be comfortable.

I can get angry but recover quickly. When I lose it I fear nobody, which I know is stupid. I'm slowly learning to be more patient. Funny enough despite this I have been a leader during most of my working life.

You would hate it if I was prime minister.....

See I would ban American TV shows.
And I would stop people from buying more then one property-You only need one too live and all this investing stuff only puts a larger gap between the rich and the poor.

But thanks for your input. Was a good read.

Thanks for the well wishes, guys. If anyone actually reads fantasy and wants the first chapter then let me know.

Avy, you like horror movies? What kind?

Ever seen the likes of Inside (French) or Martyrs (French, too, I think?).

Personally, I love Romero zombie movies, old 80s horror and stuff like Alien. I'm always trying to track down well regarded horror movies that I've never seen.

Like Suity, I like cooking, but unlike Suity I'm not whiz bang at it. Still, my roasts are legendary - well cooked and of massive proportions. Always good to have people around for a roast and a horror movie.

When I was a kid my father was a strict bastard. As soon as it was dark I had to be inside. I remember staying up and watching the Hammer House of Horror. Old Dracula movies with Christopher Lee and Salems Lot scared the shit out of me. Also loved the Old Twilight Zone series which now I think is a little dated and quite silly. In order my favourite horror movies are the mid 90's Japanese stuff that "The Ring" and "The Grudge" was based on.

The Exorcist was a favourite. I reckon the first Wolf Creek, the first Saw and the Conjuring are very good. I saw one recently called "It follows" which I thought was awesome. One of my all time favourites is the first "Jeepers Creepers" I loved that movie and the original Final Destination. Recently saw an Aussie one called "The Babadook" which was quite original and eerie.

The best book I read recently about this type of shit, real hauntings etc was an Aussie one called:"Where Spirits Dwell by Karina Machado."

I'm not trying to be tough but the only things that scares me is any potential danger to my immediate family and this type of hauntings, spiritual occult stuff. I know it's probably shit but the unexplained unknown intrigues me.

Ok - time to do it properly ...

I am 44. Grew up in The Hills (and my very early years in Melbourne) but now live in the St George area (have done for about 17 years). I like the Hills but its too bloody far.

Been a Parra fan since 1977 when my family moved back to Sydney. I feel lucky to have been through the 80s, but feel I was maybe a bit young to truly enjoy/appreciate it.

I played all sorts of sports when I was young - and generally did ok at most - League, Aussie Rules, Basketball, Volleyball (indoor not that beach crap), Cricket, Baseball, Golf, Tennis. Only thing I never liked was gymnastics. I stopped playing sport about mid-twenties and got rather unfit, which I regret immensely - have got back in shape a bit - probably fitter now in my 40s than I was in my early 30s.

I have taken up Kyokushin Karate the last year or so and am quite enjoying it - though my knees are shot which makes it hard. I played lots of sport in my youth but never anything like this - never felt so unco. Wish I had of done this in my teens/twenties.

I've never liked reading much - just done what I needed to to get through school/uni/work. I like watching TV series: Dexter, GoT, SoA, Ray Donovan, etc etc. I've always liked watching most sport, but gone off cricket and AFL as I've got older - mainly watch league now.

I work in IT for a large australian media company. Its ok but I'm not overly excited by it these days. Probably too old to do anything different now though.

I cook a bit - not great but not bad. I like music, all sorts of different stuff, but I have no talent and I wouldn't say I am into music like so many people are.

I provide accommodation to the poor and lessen the load on the Government. Everyone wins. Not all Americans are evil. The Jewish community in Hollywood have contributed immensely to the arts, especially film and television. I applaud them.

Speaking of Ray.....he seems to have gone from drinking Lagavulin to drinking Johnny Walker. Likely bloody story.

Aliens scare me. Like seriously f**king scare me. Man, I hate those f**king merkins. f**k off.

If I can recommend a horror film that is vastly different to the ones you mentioned? Inside. It's a French film from 2007. The first half hour is slow burn but then it kicks off and it is f**king amazing. Watch that shit (but not with your wife or any other female).
