South Sydney and North Queensland are playing at Gosford, 3pm next Sunday. GET TO THE GAME, and lets fill CentralNorthExpressCoastPowerGrahameAdvocate ParkStadium to the brim! Prove just how inferior soccer is in Australia! Last nights Mariners game barely cracked 6k - 6609 was the figure. With Souths on the improve I expect to see bums on seats, hopefully even a sellout next Sunday.

Bunnies fans, Cowboys fans, League fans... GET TO THE GAME!

If the Coast don't pack the stadium out their claims "We desepratly want a team" are pure crap.

While I really think they will, your quote is absolute crap.

I desperately want a team here on the Coast, league here needs it. Just because a stadium isn't full it doesn't bring any less validity to our claim.

Wonder if we will see any of the Cowboys and Rabbitohs players get tossed from Club Troppo?

Naw these players know they are role models to the community. Still would it make any difference on the Central Coast with all the mongs living up there.

You might desperately want a team. Your friends might to. But not to most people, otherwise they wouldn't have had so many small crowds to other matches there.

And the crowd figures bring total validity to the claim of wanting a team or not.

Small crowds? Consistently getting 16/17k into a 19k stadium is small?

A-League struggles to break the 7k barrier.

Wouldnt mind seeing the Gold Coasts crowd averages during their 11 seasons in the comp when they had a team(well 3 different teams), as opposed to the CC having half a team for a couple of year(the northern eagles).

The Gold Coast averages in the 2 seasons they had a team where significantly higher than the crowds that the CC were getting when they had a team. Stop talking about the 9 seasons the GC were playing in NSW.

And for the one-off matches (trial matches and club matches played their between 2 Sydney clubs) the GC been getting sell out crowds. Whereas CC is getting below 10k

The CC had a team?

Don't worry GoTheBears, it's all right for people like Razor to explain why nobody turned up to Giants/Seagulls games "because they were a NSW team" (even if Seagulls is only a drop kick away from the border, but of course the fact that the Central Coast had half a team run by Manly is NO excuse  Which area is being "too picky" now?

Doesn't matter if they were close to QLD, the fact doesn't change is that they were a NSW team.

No one turned up to the games that were at the CC. They were so low they were losing massive amounts of money playing there and had to leave before the lease expired.

I seem to remember a Gold Coast Chargers game (Carrara Stadium, QUEENSLAND) that drew little over 3,000 peopl. The worst the Nothing Eagles ever drew was 5,000. You can't argue that the Central Coast should have supported the Manly-joint venture but try and defend the fact that no-one cared about the Seagulls on the flimsy ground that they were less than 1 kilometre south of an imaginary line in the dirt.

CC received several crowds under 5,000. Chargers never only had 3,000 people.

The fact that they got significantly better crowds at Carrarra which is an AFL ground(and Seagulls a League ground) should tell you something. They were in NSW.
