You have no idea. Its the most engaging form of advertising. If the sharks did it right they would increase following and increase engagement. More people might show up to games as a result. It would certainly impress potential sponsors if we had a strong following. Its all about increasing the sharks worth. You cant ignore social media in this day and age, and you cant half arse it like the shakrs currently do.

As much as I'm not into "social media", what you say is the way to go IMO.

The value right now is very low because they are doing it wrong. They have a decent amount of followers/likes purely because they already have fans. The way they run it is beyond amateurish and I have no doubt they never hired a specialist for the role. Hopefully once the place is in better shape they focus on that area.

When used right, Facebook in particular can be an extremely effective way of getting people to watch / attend games and support the team.

You can target Facebook posts and advertisements to whichever demographic you like. So if the club can see that they're not getting many females aged 16 - 20 to games this year, they can set up an advertisement which is only showed in the feed of females in that particular age group, who live in the area, who also have liked Beau Ryan's Facebook page but aren't a fan of the Sharks on FB yet.

It's an easy way for the club to convert casual fans into those who come to the game / at least become genuine supporters.

Oh I know quite well about the analytics of Facebook.
IMO it is a beat up & is a self serving industry & I doubt it can be reported in $ value.

Yeah, a properly run SM presence will help a lot.
I'm a dinosaur too and can't stand the trivial self-indulgent drivel people post on FB and Twatter all the time in the mistaken idea that anyone really gives a f**k, but unfortunately it does have it uses for business..........that is engaging the large proportion of the world that have their heads stuck in a smartphone instead of actually doing something......like talking to a real person. So then they can all come to games and look at their smartphones there.

Ask the guys from one solution if they would have paid more if the sharks had a better run and more engaged online fan base.

I would but I can't find my "what's on my mind " post.
For some reason it has been pushed down the cue by 15 f**king advertisements and posts from some bitch in Guam who apparently knows someone who knows my sisters husbands brother.
