Edwards has great go forward, so he suits the Panthers because their forwards are weak in attack. But I'd say Gutherson is better than Edwards at everything else.

Imo, he has been for some time.

While he isn't explosively quick, he is the most skilful fullback in the comp, the best defensive fullback in the comp, and leads by example every week.

Gutho is an energiser bunny. Plays 80 mins every game and never stops putting in 100%, much like Price.
The only other player I would put in this category is Hindmarsh.

I wasn't comparing/referring to Price's GF wins exclusively. Again, if you're not familiar with his record after switching codes, take a look at it. I'm referring to the period well before we even won anything.

The seeds were sewn in that late 70's period. Price was lucky enough to have played long enough to be able to lead and take part in the 81,82,83 and 86 coronation.

Gutherson is a great player, but IMO, Price's legacy leaves pretty much all for dead. And Hindmarsh? No. Tarnished his legacy and reputation by playing 2 seasons ( at least) too long...

King Gutho...Heart, soul of the Club, with a ticker bigger than Phar Lap. He NEVER stops trying his arse off..Best IMPORTED player in my over 63 years as a follower. (I don't class Crow, Sterling, Hayne, or the Thornetts as imported players - they are locals 'in my eyes')
