Looking for a challenge

IMO the Titans v Bluebags thang is the match of the round.

After destroying so many teams, the 'bags have run out of gas, so we need a challenge.

What have the Titans got to offer?

I challenge the captain of the Titans to a captain v captain sig file face off.

Whoever has the best score after full time has to wear the badge: "<team> are the best F7s team in the world and I really suck" for a week.

This is a fair dinkum dare.

Robster... I'm looking at you....

Goodness Willow, there is obviously no lack of "gas" in the 'Bags so much so that if one were impolite they may be referred to as the "gas bags". Anyone of us would be willing to take up that challenge.

I got a very obscure text from Robster this morning that simply read: "Tell willow im keen jelly bean". I can only assume this is what he was talking about...

Just to clarify, Willow, is this whichever side has the highest team score, or whichever captain has the highest individual score?

No, its a purely a captain vs captain thing. Other team mates will not be affected by this rumble in the jungle.

Whoever gets the lower individual score has to wear the sig file.

In the light of day I can see that it is a mismatch of epic proportions, and I understand if Robster isn't keen to take up the challenge.

How bout best team score? And if my team wins you have to post a pic of Justin Murphy in your sig stating he is the number 1 winger in all sporting codes.

Haha. Sounds like the challenge hasn't been taken up.

Now where's that tape of chicken noises...?

I dunno fellas, Titans vs Blueys could well be a great game, but I'm not sure its worth all the hoopla.

Coming up the crunch-end of the season, I thought I'd read back through a few of the matches. I have to say, with all due respect, that, while the 'bags have an enviable record, the Warriors look the team to beat. They've had some great posts and look a really strong side.

We face the 'baggers now, but have those Kiwi prucks in the last match of the season. I can't speak for my team (and I haven't had a chance to discuss this with il Capitano Robster), but, for myself, I'll be wearing new boots come the last match. Hell, after a good couple of rep' games, I could do with a break; save whatever strength remains in this tired old body for the form team.

With all due respect Amadean "il capitano" should read "el capitan" or was that "le capitaine" and whatever it is should be capitalised as well.

As an impartial observer a sporting "bet" is a great idea, however if you were to draw a parallel to a real life game (I'll use an example close to my heart) it'd be like Steve Price saying to Cam Smith before Sundays Storm Warriors clash "Hey, whoever plays a better game on the weekend between you and I wins bragging rights" It's not a competition that is measurable even if we have the advantages of scoring. Although I don't agree with all his madness, I think my old colleague Robster has brought up a valid notion with the losing teams skipper wearing a banner for a week.

Anyways, if I didn't know any better all this chest thumping from the Baggers sounds as though they're a little bit threatened by the new kids on the block....not the band...meh you know what I'm talking about.

Back to match talk - to quote the immortal words of Gaz "F%#k Me Fire Up!" Should be a cracker! I know I'll be on the sidelines watching.

PS - Amadean, your blatant flattery is noted but if you're lulling us into a false sense of security you're only about 14.8% of the way there. Some more plaudits and you'll have us at 100% in no time.

Plenty of room on my lap Titanic and if you're lucky I'll have a pack of boiled sweets to share as well.
