Greenshields has the dropsys at the back, we really need to keep Peachey for another year. Nevertheless, we should aim for something like this:

1. Greenshields
2. Albert
3. Pomeroy
4. Scott
5. Simmons/Covell
6. Vagana
7. Kimmorley
13. Hilder
12. Bailey
11. Williams
10. Gallen
9. Kingston
8. Ross

14. Nutley
15. Leuluai
16. Manua
17. Dykes

i think the guy who may struggle for a spot is hilder. with kingston getting better and better each week and then latu or dykes of the bench, there may not be be space for a small second rower/dummy half each week.

vagana should be 5/8. we look a lot better when he has the ball. hopefully kingston can become an 80 minute player. much more control.

greenshields has a lot of problems when he is under pressure. i dont think we should chase him. better off putting simmons (god forbid) or brown or albert at eh back and seeing what happens. i dont think greenshields for cheap since he has played well 0over this year. those three guys should get first shot.

sounds like mapp may become the highest paid premier league player in the comp. cant see him fitting in. surely flegg forwards, douglas, selmes lovegrove and then harlen, ciraldo etc are better long term options. hopefully he does bring some proffessionalism from the broncs. some of those kids will get big over the off season.

I think Greenshield should be a priority.

Lets not forget: while he has his problems, the kid is only 17 games into a first grade career. And f**k me he's shown some fine form in those 17 games. With 50 more games under his belt, he'll be one of the top fullbacks in the comp, IMO.

Could Beau Scott go to fullback and the Pom to 3/4?
Not a bad idea & obviously one they will consider seeing the club consider Goldy could be an option at fullback.
Only problem is his defense.

I hate to point this out, but Gallen is taller than Nutley...by about 5 centimetres.

In the #11 and #12 he was below his best...he's not a wide running backrower, he's a hitup merchant. Perfect prop material. That allows Ciraldo and Hilder to fight for the lock spot, and Nutley to come off the bench and play the last 60-70.

Thanks Tama.

Why don't you just say "what cap'n jack said".

It would save time.

Why would you want Nutley on the bench for the start?

Our best prop, a workhorse, great tackler. Perfect for the opening 20 I'd say

Ok your Royal Highness.

Show some tact you silly turd.

On topic: IMO if we could perhaps start the game with Gallen and Ross as props, have Nutley off the bench and one other prop - Maiava/Leuluai most probably, the forwards would look a lot better. Having said that, the perfect situation would be convincing Stevens to go around again and have him come off the bench.

That'd be a pack something like:

8. Gallen
9. Kingston
10. Ross
11. Bailey
12. Williams
13. Ciraldo

14. Nutley
15. Maiava/Leuluai
16. Stevens
17. Dykes/Latu

Either that or atleast give the person who had the idea the credit instead of peddling it as your own.

I think the team should look something like....

1 albert (simmonds not ready, imagine albert running off kimmorley and vagana!!!)
2 simmonds
3 pomeroy
4 scott
5 covell
6 vagana
7 kimmorley
8 ross
9 kingston
10 covell
11 bailey
12 williams/hilder/ciraldo/loo loo
13 gallen

14 maiva
15 dykes
16 williams/hilder/ciraldo/loo loo
17 williams/hilder/ciraldo/loo loo

I personally think it might do phil bailey some good to see how he goes as a bench player, if he doesnt improve after that send him to PL

Well you said IMO you think Gallen should be a prop. Is that your opinion? Or is CJS's opinion that you agree with?

Having an opinion doesn't mean I was the very first person to procure the idea. Having read CJS' comments and watching Gallen play, it seems reasonable to trial the idea in the trials for next season.
