Those guys throwing Darren Mapp in their teams, dont get too excited. From the games ive watched this year he is'nt all that fancy. IMO he will play most of his footy in PL unless our coaching staff can transform him into something else.

On the topic of the best team for next year here goes:

1. Simmons(id prefer Albert)
2. Albert
3. Scott
4. Pommeroy
5. Covell/Brown/Pelo
6. Vagana
7. Kimmorley
8. Ross
9. Kingston
10. Nutley
11. Bailey
12. Gallen
13. Bird(i think ive missed him:) )

14. Manua(Cliff)
15. Leualai
16. Williams/Maiava
17. Harlen/Hilder/Dykes/Ciraldo

I think Pelo deserves a run - anyone informed enough to pass comment?

Also anyone notice that without Covell and Hilder in the team, we revert to Kimmorley's goalkicking?

I have seen Albert kick a goal in super league...it was a one off though I think.

Frenzy.

Who will be Kimmorley's backup?

I see.

So we have 2 who think Dykes. One who thinks maybe Hall (who won't be at the club. Wasn't considered a good enough backup this year so why would they sign him from Newtown). Green? Gun half in his own league but NO WHERE near NRL yet. Aitken? Nuh, will be roping steer with the Cows.

So looks like Dykes

Next question.

Dykes backup?

I'll pre empt. Most will think Vagana.

OK moving along.

Vagana's replacement?

We still lack depth in the backs badly UNLESS they are finally going to give young blokes a shot. Neilson, Brown, Raftery etc are ready for blooding now. THey may not live up to their potential instantly but they have to be brought in quick.

That's the way of the modern game. Blood the young ones quickly.

Gallen is not a prop! Gallen is a hard working second rower or lock. We have Ross, Manua, Maiava and Nuts for our props , but I would like to see Nuts on the bench and be used as an impact player . His speed is underated and can cause damage to a tiring defence. Also Ciraldo should be a center with Scott, Ciraldo has size and speed and a good pass . I would have him with Covell , two tall guys with Ben Pomeroy running with them the way Ben Kennedy dose out wide. Im really worried about Simmo tho , at full back , no one will listen to him and it could be very lonely back there when the ball is kicked to him.

Bird?

Is he totally out the halves picture now?
Regarded as a foward?

Bird should be out of the Cronulla Sharks picture by now.

Useless piece of sh*t.

I have to disagree there. I think we have missed Bird's versatility since his injury and IMO was one of the better players against the Tigers when we got smoked.

I hope i dont have to tell people all off season that Pomeroy "IS NOT" a centre. He is a back rower......

How long do you blood the young ones for??

Can play centre. Is a backrower. Think Phil Bailey type of centre... Fills the hole but is really a backrower.

The Pom will be our best signing. Adds some starch to our backrow... I can't wait for him to start picking off blokes for us next season. I'm shocked our club had the skills to land him!

Me too.
I like Albert as well.
Still think we are skinny up front and in the backs.

No other halves unless there is a young gun coming through.
Vagana might get a lot more games at 5/8 especially if there are any injuries.

Anyone had a look at Souths backs for next year.
They have a thousand with first grade experience but no forwards.
A few played for us too.

So what your saying is he can't play centre?
or that he won't play centre?
or hasn't played centre?

What I am saying is Pomeroy is raw and young, He is still developing Once he fills out he will be to big and slow for the centres. Penrith have massive wraps on the kid. He was only used in the centres early this year because they had no other options. His future lies in the back row and i hope Raper doesnt muck around with him trying to turn him into a centre. I got this info off a leading penrith official.

As long as he doesn't become another Bailey. Then again while ever we've got Kimmorley in the team playing his stupid flat attack game I guess we'll always have backrowers running one off the ruck and dying with the ball. So predictable it's become a joke.
I'm over Kimmorley, I want him gone.
